I often think it’s silly how worked up people get about politics. The fact is, as an individual, you don’t have a lot of control over the political system. You are as much of a victim of politics as everyone else is in the public. However, you real power in your own life choices, be it the community you choose to live in, the lifestyle you choose and the people you choose to associate with day to day.

Why News Used To Have Less Bias
To Make Quality Decisions, You Need to Know Where You Want to Go | Inc.com
The Future Self concept is simple yet rarely practiced. To make quality decisions, know where those decisions will take you. Decisions and actions are best when reverse-engineered from a desired outcome. Start with what you want and work backward. Think and act from your goal, rather than toward your goal. Your brain does this automatically.
Indeed, neuroscientists now agree the brain is essentially a "prediction machine," guiding behavior toward the expected future. Learning is the process of updating and improving our brain's predictions.
The clearer you are on where you want to go, the less distracted you'll be by endless options. When you're disconnected from your Future Self, you get caught up in urgent goals that often result in low-quality behavior in the present. For the majority, this is the norm.
Gas price hikes are off the charts, and that’s a big problem for Democrats – CNNPolitics
But over the last few months, folks planning out their vacations have been in for a rude awakening over the price of gas. The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline topped $4.70 for the first time ever this week. On top of historic inflation, this is the environment Democrats face five months from Election Day. It could prove disastrous for them.

Why reasons I’m more inclined to vote Republican this year π
I’m a registered Democrat. I often do split my ticket, but I generally vote more Democratic then not. But maybe I won’t be voting for many Democrats this year because of the way things are going in our country.
Censorship
Leftist politicians continue to push forwards efforts to join with multi-national media corporations to silence conservative voices and alternative perspectives, while forcing liberal views to rise to the top of social media feeds. Alternative platforms are regularly be shut down — just because the politicians in Washington don’t like alternative voices that criticize them. Leftists claim it’s racism, or terrorism, but in reality it’s criticisms of their policies that make them uncomfortable. We need a free and open internet, where ideas can be freely debated, even though ideas that are threatening and uncomfortable to those in power.
Do Gooders in Ukraine
I think US has been too concerned about being do-gooders and defending Ukraine and the humanitarian situation over there, and not enough focused on the impacts of sanctions on Russia and war involvement on the lives of ordinary Americans. While what is happening in Ukraine is tragic for the people of Ukraine, the US should be focused on helping Americans at home, not other nations.
Energy Prices
One of the most important issues for a strong economy that uplifts people is the cost of energy, which for practical purposes means fossil fuels. It stinks to high hell to buy oil and natural gas from Russia, but it’s the right thing to do for global stability and energy prices. We should be encouraging a quick resolution to the end of war in Ukraine, and if that means Russian takes over Ukraine, that’s fine. Sucks for the Ukrainian people, but it might be the right option for world and ultimately Ukraine. Shorter, quicker war, means less people hurt and damaged in Ukraine and throughout the world.
Inflation
For too long, Democrats have not taken the inflation situation seriously. Their proposals to address inflation have been but a joke — expanding government spending on child care or other welfare benefits isn’t a solution when the problem is too much cash flooding the economy from people’s pockets. Likewise, it’s hard not to blame the flush coffers of local government from the big-spending of the infrastructure bill for driving up inflation — you send tons of money to build infrastructure, it’s going to be spent, driving up prices.
Second Amendment
If you don’t believe they are coming for your guns, then this is the year that may change your mind. Radical new gun control proposals are being rammed down our throat, with the only check on power the Supreme Court. Millions of Americans will have their rights denied or curtailed, if Congress doesn’t step in and limit the power of states. A conservative majority on Congress could help the US Supreme Court to protect our rights.
How the American Media Perpetuates and Profits from Mass Shootings
One thing I’m hoping is that in coming years there will be more open election data posted from states and not-for-profits at the election district level, like is available this year during the redistricting cycle
One thing I’m hoping is that in coming years there will be more open election data posted from states and not-for-profits at the election district level, like is available this year during the redistricting cycle. That said, it’s a lot of work to crunch and compile this data as it’s currently presented — mostly broken down by counties and without redistricting it might not be as big of incentive to compile such data, but it would be fascinating to watch election trends as the decade unfolds.
