Hudson River is filled with pharmaceuticals, says University study.

"The Hudson River is a waterborne medicine cabinet flush with drugs to treat blood pressure, cholesterol and common aches and pains, new research by the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University shows. During two months of testing in 2016, researchers identified 16 different pharmaceutical compounds from samples taken at 72 spots along the Hudson, from waters north of Troy down to the Battery in New York Harbor, a distance of 155 miles."
