A big black jacked up truck greets mine on NY 43 at the Washington Avenue Intection in Rensselear. I remember driving past this intersection a lot back in college.

Traveling through the mountain country, I often enjoy seeing gritty old strucutres like this largely abandoned old garage with gray asbestos siding and paint pealing on the doors, in a landscape surrounded by mountains.

Heading down the Taconic Trail on narrow Massachussets Route 2 as winds downs the ridge, heading past the ridge into sunlight.
