Paddling on Catharine Creek Marsh

It turns out it is possible to do a short -- 3/4 mile paddle on the marsh from the Airport Road parking area along part of the drainage canal and creek, however when water levels are higher supposedly you can get out to the center part of the marsh. Lots of birds and wildlife!

Many Nights Sunsets

Often you can get the best sunset looking down from Hector Backbone. But all week, the sunsets have been very dull, because the sun has been setting into the haze and clouds far above the horizon. Kind of a bummer, but the sun sure was red.

Sunset on Seneca Lake

On Monday evening, I sat in Clute Park watching the sunset. It was a nice sunset, as a sailboat sailed by. Not as red as what they saw back east, or so I am told from the wildfire smoke.
