John Boyd Thacher State Park, is situated along the Helderberg Escarpment, one of the richest fossil-bearing formations in the world. Even as it safeguards six miles of limestone cliff-face, rock-strewn slopes, woodland and open fields, the park provides a marvelous panorama of the Hudson-Mohawk Valleys and the Adirondack and Green Mountains. The park has volleyball courts, playgrounds, ball fields and numerous picnic areas with nine reservable shelters. Interpretive programs are offered year-round, including guided tours of the famous Indian Ladder Trail. There are over 25 additional miles of trails for summer hiking and mountain biking, and winter cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and snowmobiling.
Last night was pretty wet but this morning is sunny a bit wet from all the rain last night.
Partly cloudy and 42 degrees in Delmar, NY. β There is a west-northwest breeze at 8 mph. π. Temperatures will drop below freezing at tomorrow around 5 am. βοΈ Hopefully we can put that message away for a few months soon as Sunday is May.
Last night was a pretty rainy β evening waiting for the bus π and taking it home. I got home at quarter to nine, brushed my teeth βΊ and went to bed π. Kind of a late night at work so I didn’t get to the store π not my evening walk πΆ. First time I missed 10,000 steps a day in nine days.
Out of milk π₯ this morning so I decided to go for my morning walk πΆ early and bring my muzzle π· and get milk tor my coffee β when I returned home via Stewart’s. Earlier in the morning there is less traffic around the High School which means an easier walk.
Today I should be able to leave work at five πΌ and then head home, have a quick dinner then run out to the store. π I need both groceries for today and the weekend out of town and I’ll probably fuel up at the same time. Then tomorrow I’ll pack. I don’t want to deal with downtown street parking π Ώ so I’ll either do a Schenectady Park and Ride lot or maybe somewhere in Uptown Albany near an express bus downtown. That purple line might be good for that when it starts.
Not sure how much rain we will get today, although I guess it doesn’t matter to me as I have to work. Finally a nice weekend to get out of town, next week is the tulip festival so I’ll probably be staying around to help at the Pine Bush booth. I’ll just catch the 18 downtown for that.

No rain yet π§οΈbut I am aware of what is coming. Out for the morning walk πΆ then ironing and shower πΏ and the local downtown. π Last got home at 7:15 made up spaghetti π, did the evening π walk and then bed π.
I was originally going to go to the store yesterday and get groceries π but I got home late so I decided against that. I’m thinking tonight or tomorrow I’ll get groceries and supplies for camping π including gasoline β½ so I’m ready come Friday. I’m leaning towards leaving early Friday morning, then parking in a Schenectady Park and Ride lot and taking an express downtown. That way I don’t have to deal with rush hour traffic on the Thruway. π Ώ
Yesterday was a fairly quiet day at work, π€ although it was kind of a long day. But I made it through it. Weekend is getting closer, or so I tell myself. Hopefully tonight won’t be so late, so I do have time to go shopping, although I can probably wait until Wednesday and that might be a better day as then I’ll have a better idea on my weekend plans and what I’ll need for the weekend up north or out west, depending on the weather and what I decide to do.

Good morning! Happy Monday, let’s go chase that money π΅
We won’t be talking about the markets on Friday or the price of diesel. I mean I’m glad I’m not planning to sell any stocks anytime soon and that I drive a gasser.
Partly cloudy and 47 degrees in Delmar, NY. β There is a south-southeast breeze at 10 mph. π. The skies will clear around 2 pm.
I see diesel prices are back up to $5.25 a gallon at the local gas station β½ which usually is one of the cheapest around. If you don’t think it’s a sign of inflation then I don’t know what is. Everything from tractors π to semi trucks π burn diesel and most of those costs will be passed along to everything you buy.
Not too bad of a morning π although I’m well aware of the forecast for later in the week. That said, the weekend that was wasn’t too bad and I got in over 35,000 steps π£walking πΆ in the neighborhood. The Albany County Rail Trail π wasn’t too crowded when I walking it but without much shade this time of year I was starting to feel heat exhaustion kick in by the time I was heading home.
Session day π¨π»βπΌso I’m out for the morning walk πΆ bright and early after having breakfast π₯£ and then I’ll run home, iron my shirt and pants, shower πΏ and catch the local downtown. I’m going to try to keep my steps up even on days when I catch the local π.
Friday I’m planning to head out of town βΊ probably to the Adirondacks but I’m not hundred percent sure. π I doubt this weekend will have many black flies but it’s only a matter of time.
