The parking lot was absolutely packed when I walked out to Five Rivers earlier with lots of families out walking about. πͺ Apparently with all government sponsored activities canceled, museums and libraries closed, there are a lot of bored children. πΆ I guess a little exercise is a good thing.
I think I made the right decision to stay home today
I think I made the right decision to stay home today and not go camping … β
- The weather turned out to be quite cloudy and the breeze was cold
- I have not felt very ambitious, it’s been a long week and I’m enjoying the solitude and time to think at Five Rivers
- I’ve heard the stores have been crazy today and I didn’t want any part of that
- Its just so much work to pack and unpack for one night camping
- Its a lot of driving to go out to Madison County for just one night
- There is a cost to a road trip and while gas is cheap, it ain’t free and there is a lot nicer weather coming up

Not the nicest day ever

There is a south breeze at 5 mph. π. Temperatures will drop below freezing at Thursday around 4 am. βοΈ But a few days with the heat off and at least during the day time with the windows open. Today in 1959, Barbie doll makes its debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York. π Ever since then barbie dolls have had their heads eaten off by family dogs πΆ and boys have had fun burning their heads off with lighters.
A picture perfect weekend on tap. π Saturday, mostly sunny, with a high near 47. Sunday, mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Typical average high for the weekend is 43 degrees. Kind of last weekend but only a few degrees cooler. I might do an overnight in Schoharie to check out that tiny home expo at NYPA Gilboa plant but it depends on what I’m doing with Save the Pine Bush.

Tomorrow is going to be even nicer but alas me gotta work π· and make money π΅ so I can enjoy the real nice weather when it happens. β

In 1965, Thirty-five hundred United States Marines are the first American land combat forces committed during the Vietnam War. π£ The escalation of the war was well underway at that point. It would last for another decade and was pretty tragic for all parties involved.
