Good morning! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃! Seems to always happens so fast. But I’m ready for summer and black fly season being over. But turkey is good today, one of the best holidays of the year. Next Thursday is Repeal of Prohibition Day 🍺. Mostly cloudy and 43 degrees in Delmar, NY. ☁ There is a northwest breeze at 13 mph. 🍃 with gusts up to 32 mph 💨💨💨. The wind really makes it feel cold outside and it’s cloudy and gray. Temperatures will drop below freezing at around 10 pm. β˜ƒοΈ

Thanksgiving Day will be mostly cloudy 🌥, with a high of 42 degrees at 7am. One degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around November 29th. The record high of 68 was set in 1990. 6.0 inches of snow fell back in 1985.❄

The sun will set at 4:24 pm with dusk around 4:55 pm, which is 27 seconds earlier than yesterday. 🌇 At sunset, look for partly cloudy skies 🌃 and temperatures around 40 degrees. Working on the blog theme update today for a while βœ’ then I’m going out to my parents house for Thanksgiving. 🍗 Should be a good meal. My sister and niece will be joining us. Should be a good dinner. I’ve avoided eating anything since breakfast.

Lyme seems to be fading away 🎯although I was fortunate that I had the bullseye rash, and good health insurance so dealing with it just involved a quick doctor’s appointment and picking up an antibiotic at the pharmacy. Just have to take the remaining 19 days of antibiotics over the next few weeks.

Bathroom sink is plugged up again 🚽 but I’m sure if I get some drain solvent tomorrow I’ll get it running again. That always seems to solve the problem. The plumbing in my apartment is always so problematic. Personally with all the problems I have I don’t think I would mind having an outhouse or even an outdoor shower as long as it’s warm enough in the winter especially where I get dressed.

Right now, a split verdict on the weekend. β˜€ Saturday, sunny, with a high near 35. North wind 5 to 7 mph. Sunday, snow likely before 1pm, then rain and snow likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Typical average high for the weekend is 42 degrees.

I am kind of leaning against going to the Adirondacks but I’ll make that decision on Friday. β›Ί I don’t need to buy much in groceries for camping but money is tight and I will need some supplies and gasoline. Plus I’m not sure what to think about the potential for snow. But on the other hand I kind of want to roll out the new blog version soon and I don’t want to deal with the icy roads om Sunday. β›„ But regardless, tomorrow seems nice so it would be fun to head out and maybe do some hiking even if I stay in town.

As previously noted, next Thursday is Repeal of Prohibition Day 🍺 when the sun will be setting at 4:22 pm with dusk at 4:53 pm. On that day in 2018, we had cloudy, mild, rain showers and temperatures between 53 and 39 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 40 degrees. We hit a record high of 65 back in 2001.
