Hudson Valley

There is no shortage of poison ivy on Middle Stockport Island.

It was pretty densely forested, with plenty of poison ivy to go along with it.

No danger of getting wet from high tide here, although even the campsite was only 5-6 inches above the high tide of last night. Most of the campsites on this island are not particularly high above the high tide.

Due to the incredible wake those large freighters make, and to conserve energy, they move very slow on the Hudson River.
