Hudson River Islands State Park 📍

In the distance is Gays' Point, which is why you can see the motor boats moored out in front of it. Also, there are several campsites, not in site here, in the foreground, on Middle Stockport Island. The campsites on Middle Stockport are much more private and larger then Gays' Point.

The Amtrak Railroad runs right next to the river here, however there is almost no development right on the river, due to the steep slopes.

Also there is a popular state kayak put in and boat launch. Many people kayak around Middle Stockport Island from this point rather then come in from Coxscakie to avoid crossing the main channel of the river, that can be awful choppy and full of motorboat traffic.
