November 30, 2019 Afternoon

Mostly clear and 36 degrees at the Five Rivers Environmental Education Center. There is a northwest breeze at 5 mph. 🍃. Nice and quiet down here by the Vlomans Kill but the breeze does make it a bit cool. 💨

Nice to be out in the woods although they’re a lot of people at Five Rivers but few where I am right now. I do wish I was up in the Adirondacks or maybe drove out to Partridge Run but I didn’t want to bother the deer hunters putting food on the table for their family. I do love 😍 the rural and remote country out by Huntersland 🌲🌳🌲, I might go skiing 🎿 out there come the winter. Just too much noise and people in the city.

I do love that landscape way out in the country behind Rensselaerville State Forest and Partridge Run. 🌲🌲🌲The lonely houses, 🏡 the smell of the horses and the cows 🐴 and wood smoke. It’s like transitioning back to an earlier time. A lot of beautiful country and people out that way. Reminds me of growing up in Westerlo. 🚜

The Adirondacks probably wasn’t a practical option after all, 🗻 it would have been very cold today and especially tonight with the mercury having a run towards zero. It may start snowing tomorrow early and I’m already tired 😴 of winter driving.

Plus I’m feeling the Lyme symptoms again 🎯in the cold. I feel a bit achy in the cold. But it’s nice being away for a little while out for my walk before dark. 🚶 Heading to my parents house for Sunday dinner a day early, going to wash the truck in the morning and park it in its winter spot.
