Wetlands and North River Mountains
That marsh and the scene looks amazing, especially figuring this is on a county highway, and right below the tailing pile is a railroad and the ruins of the former mining operation.

While most the Village of Adirondack Buildings have long since collapsed and been forgotten, this one Salt Box -- maybe the old School House, was preserved.

It was kind of interesting to look at the ruins, but it's obvious there isn't much worth saving in these buildings, as trees grow up and around them.

There also was a nice looking fire place, probably used by hunters camping here in the fall, and an outhouse. No picnic table though.
