Four eyes πŸ‘€ is better than two

Waking up this morning I got most of not all the vision back in my right eye but it’s still a bit sore so I’m wearing glasses, which I hate as they cause eye strain as I’m not used to them. But it was a bit scary loosing vision in my eye.

Good morning! Happy Sunday. Partly cloudy and 66 degrees in Delmar, NY. β›… Calm wind. The dew point is 64 degrees. The skies will clear around 11 am.

I am moving kind of slowly this morning, as I really don’t like wearing glasses. πŸ‘“ I find it hard to focus out of them but I also want to give my eyes as much of a time to heal as possible. This morning though I am seeing a lot better then I was last night. I ended up putting my glasses on at 5:30 PM when I got home last night, cooked dinner — a bunch of chicken and hard-boiled eggs for the rest of the week — and then went to bed. πŸ›Œ It’s good I caught up on a lot of sleep last night, and my eye feels better but for a while it was super red and sore.

Today will have a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, partly sunny 🌧, with a high of 85 degrees at 3pm. Three degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 69 at 12pm. Muggy! Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. The high last year was 91 degrees. The record high of 95 was set in 1898.

It looks like this afternoon will be rather stormy β›ˆ so I want to get my steps in early so I’m planning to walk 🚢 out to Five Rivers Environmental Education Center this morning. Then head out to the folks house for Sunday dinner. 😰 Going to be a muggy day so I want to get a fairly early start. πŸ‘“ I’m not sure if I want to wear glasses all day or not though I admit it probably would be easier on my eyes πŸ‘€. I do want to get to bed relatively early πŸ› as sleep is so important for good health.

Wild Flowers

I came home with a minor eye infection πŸ‘οΈ

Midday before going up to Colonie to visit John Wolcott I noticed my right eye was kind of milky looking out of it. I thought my contact lens was dirty so I took it out, cleaned it and ultimately replaced it. But it seems like it’s my eye that is irritated and I especially notice it with the sun out. After getting eaten alive at Anne Lee Pond I decided to head straight home, take out my contacts and now I’m thinking of getting some shut eye to let my eyes recover. I’m hoping it’s not serious – I thought for a minute about seeking out Urgent Care but I think it best to let my eye rest overnight and get fully caught up on sleep.

Any suggestions on a good used bicycle? 🚲

I’ve given up or at least put aside my bicycle rebuilding project for now. I want to get back on the road sooner than later but I also don’t want to spend $800 on a new bike that gets stolen two weeks later or is shinny plastic chrome plated garbage that falls apart by the end of the summer from just ordinary use.

I did the buy a new brand name Gary Fisher bicycle “it will be great thing fit so comfortable has a great suspension” 20 years ago from Downtube and it turned out to be a complete lemon and a disaster. I don’t want to do that again. They insisted the new bicycles aren’t such crap but I don’t believe them.
