Delmar, NY

Good morning! Happy Tuesday. 🌄

Halfway through February. Day 2 of the early morning walk program. It’s cold but the sun is rising. Nice golden ball.

Sunny and 6 degrees in Delmar, NY. 🌞 Calm wind. There is a inch of snow on the ground. ☃ ️Things will start to thaw out at tomorrow around 10 am. 🌡️

Yesterday was a later night at work than I expected 🌃 and I ended up getting home at 8 pm, so I put some fish 🐠 sticks in the oven, had dinner and retired to bed 🛏. Last night just felt super cold ❄. Windy downtown with the tall buildings. 🏢

Later this week and next week 🚶 when there is no session then I’ll probably go back to taking the express bus 🚍 and walking the Plaza but it’s good that I’m getting at least some of my steps in. I actually rather like these crisp and clear mornings.

I used up the last of the cheese 🧀 making biscuits up for breakfast and I’m almost out of frozen fruit and that’s not dairy good so I may need to get to the store and get groceries after work on Wednesday. Tonight though I probably will have to work late again. 😴

A cold morning to restart my 7 am walk program around the High School superblock but the sun helps a bit and there is enough sunlight in the mornings to be out walking early in the morning.

Mostly sunny and 6 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a northwest breeze at 10 mph. 🍃. The current wind chill is -9. There is a inch of snow on the ground. ☃ ️Things will start to thaw out at Wednesday around 11 am. 🌡️

It it wasn’t a session day and I had to wear my suit 👨🏻‍⚖️ I’d probably just walk down to the express bus and then walk laps on the Plaza but having to dress up I figure have breakfast 🥞, walk 🚶 and then shower 🚿. Plus my apartment felt uncomfortably warm this morning and I figured the cold would be nice. Now that the sun ☀ is up early on session days I figure do my walk early.

I see my Bidencare COVID-19 testing kit is expected to arrive today. 🏥 I will stick it in the cabinet and hope I never have to use it except as kindling in the future. 🤮 I pay a lot in taxes – might as well maximize the welfare benefits I get from the government.

I believe that this is a pay week 💵 which is a good thing because February is a short month and rent and the winter heating bill is due before you know it. That said, with taxes these days, it seems like most of the money goes to the government – my federal income tax bill alone is more than my rent. 🏡 Now I understand why people grow more conservative as they get old.

Finally emptied my trash can. 🗑 Since mid December I’ve only made enough trash to basically fill up a plastic shopping bag, not including the paper and bottles I’m saving for recycling ♻. Not too bad. I haven’t been to the transfer station since last spring, which I will have to make my trip in a month or two for the cans and other accumulated recyclables.

I am hoping to get out of town for the long weekend ⛺ but I’m not totally sure where too. It might be nice to spend a couple of nights up in the woods and do some skiing 🎿 if snow is left. If I go I will probably have to get gas ⛽ but I can put that on my credit card 💳.
