Good morning! What day is it? A Not So Cold Hump Day, of course. 🐪
It’s a relative thing but with less of a wind and the sun ☀ it’s slightly warmer. I turned off the heat because I don’t see freezing temperatures in the near future any time soon. Got to save money however you can in these inflationary times.

This morning 🌅 is more crisp than cold, the sun helps a lot not that it is expected to last. The air is a bit tangy with the earthy smell of cow manure being spread 💩 as spring is coming and I’m sure farmers want to get out before the fields get too muddy.
Last night I got home around 6:45 pm 🌃, had a grilled cheese sandwich 🥪 with ketchup and frozen corn. 🌽 And a glass of apple 🍏 juice. Sounds like something on a high school menu but I didn’t feel like cooking, the hour ⏳ was late and affordability is important with inflation so high mI went for my evening walk 🚶 and then to bed 🛏 by eight where it was nice and warm.
Today I am going to again try to catch the bus 🚍 on time and not catch the later bus in, hoping it’s not running too late and people notice my arrival after 9:30. I’m the big boss man, supposed to be a good example. Even when the other director is out sick 🤮 and wouldn’t notice my late arrival. Yesterday I was doing good until got back home from the morning, laid back in bed and lost track of time. I guess my arrival to work could be best described as timely. ⌚
I am thinking tonight or more likely tomorrow I’ll run to the laundromat 👕to make sure I have enough clothes if I have to work this weekend. Being a student of the Twitter, but no longer tweeting as I’m too vulgur 🤬, I just don’t think the budget will be done by Thursday or even Friday. it’s an excuse I guess to get oil and pan spray 🍳 at the store.
Weekend is looking increasingly nice, 🎣 I wouldn’t mind getting out and doing some fishing and enjoying a night in the wilderness ⛺. Not sure if that is likely to happen though with work. Maybe I could work remote but I doubt I’ll have cell service down by any of the trout holes. Might instead be a good weekend to clean and get my truck ready for camping season. 🛻
While not much snow in the Hudson Valley, the cold with snow flurries has left many higher elevations with some snow and mountains still have retained a bit of winter. It’s not over until it’s over, and I could see more snow come April. But who knows, it won’t last with average temperatures much higher come April.

But certainly it will be milder and I can turn off the heat. ♨ And maybe open a window or two for fresh air. Although, it’s not going to be that warm. April usually isn’t that warm until it’s hot. I am sure there is an 80 degree day lurking in our near future, once the cold pushes off. But then again I’m an eternal optimist, who thinks tomorrow will be better then today. I mean, February and March weather can’t last too long into April. Before you know it, they’ll be talking about May and June weather.

Kind of cold and raw for the morning walk 🚶 but it’s clear and the sun is rising. ☀ April is around the corner 🌷 so even a cold morning isn’t that cold. Red winged Black Birds don’t seem to mind the cold though. No mourning doves around though. 🕊️
Yesterday was a busy day at work 💼 but I kept things moving as more things piled up in the queue. It was a cold day yesterday both for the evening walk and when I got home, though under the covers with the electric blanket and lights out at eight o’clock it was comfortable and I got a good night’s sleep 😴.
Riding thebushome last night, ⛪ I passed a large event packing town hall. Getting home 🏡 I was reading on the Facebook it was a hearing about some large suburbanite development off of Elsmere Avenue heading out towards the Delmar bypass and Wally World. You know the type with the chemically treated lawns, poly vinyl chloride siding and colored televisions 📺. You think I would think it was a cause I would care about but not really. With such massive industrial solar and wind being built, the suburbanite developers are small fish 🐠.
I’m just more focused on making money 💵, and I’m busy and not really interested in politics and all that the time and money it takes to going to public hearings and protests. I don’t consider New York to be my home 🏡, just a place to make some money before leaving for good. I’m well aware of the directions things are going. 🌲 Fighting development in the Pine Bush is a cause I’m into but for everything else I’m mostly just focused on the future 🔮.
I was also reading 📖 an article on NPR about the increasingly radical climate change activists 🌎 which want to site massive industrial solar and wind facilities without serious review of environmental impacts. Solar developers increasingly are ignoring impacts to endangered species, wetlands and prime farm land – and the toxic materials their panels and turbines are made out of. They feel like the climate benefits exceed all others. Maybe the one benefit is they are continuing to drive down the price of solar and supporting equipment – which will be good when I build my own homestead. 🚜
Probably the good news 📰 is that communities are increasingly speaking up against industrial renewable facilities ✊✊🏻✊🏼✊🏿 and some states are passing laws to rein in the abuses and scams of the renewable industry that threaten hundreds of square miles of forest and farm land. People are taking developers to court, fighting for their rights. ⚖ I see renewable energy as the next big fight 🌎 – they are in many ways like the highway developers of the 1960s and the nuclear power ⚛ plants of the seventies. Renewable energy will create this generations Jane Jacobs fighting the power brokers.
