Albany is the capital city of the U.S. state of New York, the seat of Albany County, and the central city of New York’s Capital District. Roughly 135 miles (217 km) north of the City of New York, Albany sits on the west bank of the Hudson River, about 10 miles (16 km) south of its confluence with the Mohawk River. The population of the city was 97,856 at the time of the 2010 census.

I made this interactive 3D map of Albany Pine Bush using LiDAR digital surface model, Open Street Map and NYSERDA Buildings of the Albany Pine Bush Blueberry Hill Barrens.

This was created with Qgis2threejs. For building heights I used OpenStreetMap, either the building height in meters or the floors times 4.3 meters. For buildings without a height, I used 8 meters. The landfill and sand dunes are from Digital Terrian Model DEMs from NYGIS.

It is basically March as far as Albany is concerned. Next week looks better but maybe not the second half of the week when I was hoping to get out of town. I actually am not sure if I will be able to get out of town next week due to a scheduling issue.

Good morning! Rainy start to the Saturday.

Rain and 42 degrees in Albany, NY. ☔ Calm wind.Temperatures will drop below freezing at Monday around 5 am. ☃️ I guess if I got to work on Saturday then it best be a miserable day. 🌅 No sunrise to watch this morning.

I think I’ll be heading home in a bit. 😴 I’m actually going to try to avoid sleeping too much in the day time so I don’t disrupt my sleep schedule today. I got some sleep last night and tonight I’ll certainly be in bed by eight 🛏 and really try to get caught up on sleep.

I don’t think I’m going to get to the transfer station today ♻ but probably next week if I don’t go camping 🏕. I don’t think I’m feeling up to driving 🚘 anywhere today until I get some sleep.
