Albany is the capital city of the U.S. state of New York, the seat of Albany County, and the central city of New York’s Capital District. Drove into Uptown Albany this morning, parked there near the freeway entrance and will head north after work.

It’s such a nice morning with deep blue skies 🏞 driving to wear I’ll leave my truck 🛻 I really I could have taken off today to head up north. I probably won’t be able to get the House Pond Campsite getting there at seven but I like changing things up a bit.
The plan is to work until 5 pm today, 📄 closing out as many backgrounds and cap grants as possible 🙆 and then ask for Monday and maybe Tuesday off. Although I don’t know about Tuesday – the ice may perish in the heat I’m afraid 😨.
I will turn Facebook off again 🔕 before heading up north this weekend. I’m in no rush to fire it up again when I get home, I just like that it’s muted and I don’t have to worry about stupid comments posted while I am gone.
Watching the Independence Day Weekend Forecast Carefully 🎆
I am inclined to head out of town, but not if it’s cold and rainy. This past weekend would have been perfect, had I not gone out the previous weekend. Friday and Sunday look great, not so much Saturday. But at least relatively warm. A lot depends on when I can get out of the office on Friday, which in part depends on how long special session lasts on Thursday. At least it doesn’t seem likely that I will get soaked again later in the day and I will be able to get my steps in.

I totally got stuck in the heavy rain halfway down to the earlier express bus. Too late to turn back, wasn’t raining when I left home.

I don’t think I’ve gotten caught in such a heavy rain storm in a long time. ☔ I checked the radar and decided to skip my morning walk 🚶 outside and catch the earlier bus 🚍 downtown to walk the Plaza before work but I had no indication that the skies would open up the way they did later on. I’m drying out now walking 🚶 the Concourse inside but still I’m soaked despite the rain coat.
It’s not that we don’t need the rain. 💧 It has been a relatively dry season to round out the spring and early summer. ☀ Just a lot of breezy low humidity days so far this year.
All weekend the ABS light stayed off on Big Red, 🛻 despite my effort to trigger it by taking it hard around a few curves and driving a dirt road. I don’t really give a rats ass about a dummy light 🐀, although I do want to address it if it means the stability control isn’t working or is an early sign the bearings are failing and the hub is going bad. But first I got to have an indicator light or new noise to be concerned. 😯
Very spring like, not super hot and or humid. But then again I have to work and rain tomorrow. Although maybe not that bad looking at the latest numbers. But certainly not real hot and summer like.
