Delusions in era of wokerism and outright lying πŸ€₯

I often wish there was a clear distinction between right and wrong, that things were black and white in our world today. But if it seems like things are more and more a world full of fun house mirrors, distorted lens and reflections, delusions from all involved.

I think things truly started to go wrong in the era of self-evident truths, when people became so surrounded by like-minded individuals that they were certain that they must be right. When ideology drove facts, and when people actively sought out facts in support of their ideology. When more and more people insisted we must enact the changes mandated by the scientists and experts.

It’s not to say science shouldn’t be informing the debate. But scientists and experts can and only should give advice, it’s up to the public as a whole to consider their perspective among others, such as those who are actually on the ground with practical experience. Science should not be accepted blindly.

I get where Trumpsterism as an ideology has become so popular. And I get why liberals have gone so wrong, taking the words of scientist as self-evident truth. What society needs is critical thinking, and not just accepting one set of experts while not considering the pros and cons of the other side.
