Good morning! Happy Tuesday. Sunny and 24 degrees in Delmar. Calm wind.

Today will be sunny, with a high of 30 degrees at 3pm. Four degrees below normal. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the morning. A year ago, we had snow in the morning and a high of 38 degrees. The record high of 61 was set in 1957. 8.4 inches of snow fell back in 1975.

The sun will set at 4:25 pm with dusk around 4:57 pm, which is 29 seconds later than yesterday. The sun sets are definitely getting later now. It’s not pitch black when I get out of work.Today will have 9 hours and 2 minutes of daylight, a decrease of 2 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low of 21 degrees at 5am. Two degrees above normal. South wind 6 to 9 mph. In 2015, it got down to 33 degrees with periods of rain. The record low of -18 occurred back in 1942.

There isΒ 1 month until Inauguration Day when the sun will be setting at 4:54 pm with dusk at 5:25 pm. The average high temperature is 32 degrees, with a record high of 61 in 1895.Β Trump will be inaugurated our 45th president on that day. Not my choice for president, but change is always good, as are fresh new ideas.
