Nice enough morning for the morning walk 🚶🏻 which I had missed the past two days because of the weather and my inability to face 😔 Monday morning. I heard that they are getting snow 🌨 on the Tug Hill Plateau so I’m sure that Piseco Powley is done for the year. 2020 was a fun but odd year, and it kind of sucked that the southern end was closed due to the bridge being out. 🌉 Remote work 💻 from the Adirondacks was kind of fun though.

I am working on a series of hiker maps 🗺 that may become a feature of the blog, covering various long distance hiking trails in a series of pages on a PDF. The first series is going to be maps of the Long Path. I have designed the template but I need to get on the library wi-fi this afternoon to run the PDF as it requires the topographic maps from the national map to be used for the background.

Yesterday I was on Zillow looking at various properties in the mid west. 🏡 Not because I’m planning to buy anything soon but I wanted to see how much farther my dollar 💵 would go out there compared to locally. I don’t like the long and salt encrusted winters here but I’d like to get another decade here in New York State where the wages are good. My apartment is inexpensive, if a bit rusty, moldy and dirty. 🐷 Says the boy 🧒🏻 interested in dairy and hog farming and kind of likes the smell of fermented silage 🌽. Money looks good with the Dow at 30k. But most of that is just paper gains, and the market will most certainly come down 📉 in the coming years.
