Daily Update – May 9, 2022

Good morning! Monday’s come back around again. ☺

I tell you weekends are getting shorter especially when you end up working it half from home. Cool but clear this morning for the walk walk 🚢 but that’s changing.

Sunny and 36 degrees in Delmar, NY. 🌞 Calm wind.

Yesterday I hiked out to Five Rivers 🐸 in the morning and then in the afternoon went to the tulip 🌷 festival for a while at the Save the Pine Bush booth with my muzzle on. 😷 I really didn’t stray far as there was so many crowds there without masks during what is the biggest COVID-19 uptick in a while. I just don’t like festivals, the crowds, the drunkness and the wastefulness of such events.

I also went to the store πŸͺlast night and knew I forgot something important, namely contact solution. πŸ‘€ I have a small freebie bottle 🍾 I got that I can probably use this week, as I hate driving 🚘 during the week days especially with gas β›½ so expensive. Plus after long days at work I get tired 😴 and the last thing I want to do is go to the store. πŸ›’

I was up much to late by my standards Saturday night πŸŒƒ playing with the redist R library and sequential Monte Carlos districting, experimenting with ways to classify things on maps. πŸ—Ί While the primary goal πŸ₯… of the library is to compare random district plans to proposed plans to detect how gerrymandered districts are, it actually does a good job of generating sample districts and groupings that comply with certain parameters you desire.
