August 6, 2017 Night
Good evening! Partly clear and 57 degrees in Westerlo, NY. There is a west-southwest breeze at 6 mph. The dew point is 55 degrees.
It wasn’t a terrible weekend, I ended up going out to Schoharie County to camp at Burnt-Rossman Hills State Forest.Β The North bridge to Betty Brook Campsites is closed — due to bridge detroiration or maybe vandalism, and Duck Pond Campsite is closed due to logging. It looked like one of the Betty Brook Campsites were taken, so I ended up at West Kill Road Campsite. Never camped there before, but it turned out to be quiet. I thought there would be a lot more traffic up there then there was.
Hiked around the Blenheim-Gilboa Power Plant Lansing Manor parcel for a while and spend some time swimming at Mine Kill State Park.Β Not as much sun as I would have hoped, but all and all I thought it was a good weekend.
