August 4, 2017 Evening
Happy Weekend! Partly cloudy and 85 degrees in Albany. There is a south breeze at 15 mph. The dew point is 66 degrees. The muggy weather ends tomorrow around 7 pm.
Despite a few occasional big drops of rain, my walk down to Tri Centennial Park to catch the bus right before it got on the expressway was uneventful. Definitely a lot of clouds and what appears to be rain to points south and east – that rainbow I posted earlier was a pretty way to end the work week.
Smooth commute home, not a lot of traffic. Hopefully I won’t get soaked when I get off the bus. I think the chances of rain are high enough this evening that if I do go out, I’ll probably go to the library rather than the park. But first I’ll watch the PBS Newshour. I might just go to sleep after that, I’ve been tired with the heat and adjusting to the post vacation schedule.
No real plans for the weekend although depending how early it clears I might go tent camping somewhere locally. But honestly I don’t have much in plan for the weekend. I might look at replacing that broken kayak paddle though. I would like to be able to go kayaking next weekend if the weather allows. I’m not sure, the long range doesn’t look that great. I also need to get eclipse glasses before they get sold out.
