August 29, 2019 Morning

Good morning! Happy Thursday. Five weeks to Last Sunset After 7 PM 🌆. That’s a reassuring point of reference again. Partly sunny and 64 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west-northwest breeze at 6 mph. 🍃. The dew point is 59 degrees. It’s a pleasant morning after a rainy evening that was pretty dark.

Tonight the priority is to find the break in the exciter line 🔌 with my test meter and get hooked back up so that the batteries connect and disconnect automatically as does the CB radio. I also want to return the beer cans ♻ and buy groceries so I can leave early tomorrow for camp – probably the nicest day of the long weekend that I’m increasing with taking off Friday. ⛺ Still not sure where I’m going – probably Speculator Tree Farm but I’m weighting other options.

Today will be mostly sunny 🌞, with a high of 79 degrees at 3pm. One degree above normal, which is similar to a typical day around August 27th. Like back in the day. Maximum dew point of 59 at 8am. On this day in 1966, the Beatles perform their last concert before paying fans at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. 🎸 After this, if you wanted to hear the beatles, you had to listen to them on vinyl records or AM radio. Their next album would be Sargent Pepper’s Lonely Club Heart band, and it would have a dramatically different sound then the Love, Love Me Do record’s. 🎶

Sundays forecast is slipping down hill. 😕 Some of the precipation from the hurricane is pushing further north. 🌀 Saturday, sunny, with a high near 76. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph. Maximum dew point of 54 at 8pm. Sunday, a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Maximum dew point of 59 at 7pm. But have you looked at the 8-14 day outlook? ❄ While it’s not calling for snow, it is going to be cold start to September. I wonder if the colors will turn early at Moose River Plains.🍂 Mid September is often good for the colors in the high country of the Adirondacks. I bet farmers will rushing to chop silage come early September especially in the high country with frost breathing down their necks. 🐮

Looking ahead, there are 5 weeks until Last Sunset After 7 PM 🌆 when the sun will be setting at 6:32 pm with dusk at 7:00 pm.
