Having got the Raspberry Pi in the mail today and being that I got home late and it was quite muggy, I decided to stay home tonight. 🙊 I’m kind of tired. The next few days are going to be ungodly hot. Fortunately where I work they have air conditioning.

I couldn’t get my truck’s oil changed until after the Labor Day holiday, so I’m going to have it done a week from Wednesday. That’s such a good deal at dealership, I wonder what strings are attached. I’m sure they’ll insist the air filter is filthy when I replaced it a month ago with the headlight bulbs. Has to be a loss leader. I could wait at the dealership but I think I’ll just catch a bus to work and pick it up after work.β›½ Then I won’t have to fight traffic, or find somewhere to park it. Just catch a bus from there. Easiest way to do it. I will check the oil before I head out of town Labor Day Weekend but I anticipate it will be fine. It’s not due for an oil change right away but I always monitor the oil level like a hawk and I want fresh oil before I’m traveling a lot for work.

Wire that I tie my wallet to my belt tore loose, so I’m going to have to fix that or find an alternative. 💼I like having my wallet tied to my belt so I don’t accidentally let it fall out of my pocket.

With the new autumn bus schedule 🚏the 719 bus at 5 pm seems back to running late again. I’m hoping the new driver will learn the routes and be more timely but it’s frustrating when it’s hot out and you’re waiting for the bus that’s running perpetually late. 🚌

The Labor Day Weekend forecast continues to improve. 😍Saturday, partly sunny, with a high near 74. Maximum dew point of 63 at 4pm. Sunday, a chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Maximum dew point of 68 at 4pm. Typical average high for the weekend is 77 degrees. I’m particularly thrilled about Saturday being nice as that’s when I want to paddle the Cedar River Flow.

In four weeks on September 24 the sun will be setting at 6:48 pm,🌄 which is 49 minutes and 3 seconds earlier then tonight. In 2017 on that day, we had patches of fog, mist, sunny skies and temperatures between 90 and 59 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 69 and 48 degrees. The record high of 90 degrees was set back in 2017.
