With an evening like that on tap, it makes me wish I was heading up to the wilderness. But I’m sure it’s still pretty brown up north, as spring hadn’t yet arrived to the Adirondacks. It will come but it’s always delayed to mid May. I’m sure black flies will be fierce by the time I get up there again. Then summer will occur. I love summer.
Tomorrow will have a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2pm, then a slight chance of showers between 2pm and 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high of 76 degrees at 3pm. 12 degrees above normal. Left my truck at the Park and Ride. I had better remember to get off at that stop. I had better type quickly as traffic is moving well tonight. And I better remember to pick up my sport jacket next Wednesday from the dry cleaners too. I wonder how much butchery the landlord has done to the trees during the day. I hope he replants what he cuts. He’s a pretty good guy, so I have a feeling he will replace the trees but it will take years fully to grow.
Bought a fan and electric LED reading lamp to use up at camp. This way I can further avoid using the inverter which is not real efficient compared to running things directly on 12 volts direct current. Neither was real expensive but will put the power upgrades I made on the truck cap to good use. I like having a fan on warm nights, and this fan using only about 10 watts should provide some air on sticky nights without discharging the accessory battery too quickly.
In four weeks it will be start of Memorial Day Weekend aka the Unofficial Start to Summer, which starts this year on May 26 the sun will be setting at 8:21 pm, which is 29 minutes and 15 seconds later then today. In 2016 on that day, we had mostly cloudy skies and temperatures between 88 and 58 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 72 and 50 degrees. The record high of 94 degrees was set back in 2010.
Looking ahead, Cinco de Mayo is Next Friday and Memorial Day Weekend is in 4 weeks. I can’t wait. Spring time is awesome.
Get out and enjoy this beautiful evening!
