Heat wave on it’s way 🌊

Is it time to cue Martha and the Vandella’s for the heath wave, do some dancing in the street or playing Billy Stewart? We’ll certainly next week. Now if it could still be 2020, I could so do the remote work thing all week in Green Mountains National Forest.

Carrot pancakes for this breakfast topped with strawberries. πŸ₯• Made three big carrots disappear with breakfast, yum with lots of fiber. Plus shredded oats for soluble fiber. And much too much too coffee. β˜•

Back to riding the bike to work. 🚲 I could have ridden in on Tuesday had I discovered the broken spoke on Sunday night and not when I was leaving, but it got fixed and things are working again along with the speedometer which got soaked in that surprised rain shower on Friday. β˜”

Listening to Dancing in the Street, πŸ•Ί I am instantly brought back to the craziness that was 2020 with the pandemic. I sure wish I could get away for a week or two and work remote from the wilderness in thie upcoming heat. It’s funny to think πŸ€” about that year, and how so quickly people forget about the protests and Black Lives Matter πŸ–€ and the riots that happened in many cities including Albany. Somehow people wanted to forget about the 2020 riots after the January 6th Capitol Riot. There was a lot of bad behavior that year during the pandemic but I certainly had fun.

Going to be hot. 😰 I am leaning towards heading out the Green Mountains β›° on Friday through late on Sunday, and then coming home, working Monday and Tuesday in the office, 🏒 and then Wednesday which is Juneteenth heading up to Stewart Landing, paddling and camping there either at the roadside sites or hammock camping along the lake, πŸ›Ά and then heading up to the House Pond campsite or one of the other sites along Piseco-Powley through the following Sunday to camp β›Ί and spend a lot of quality time during the heat wave at the Potholers. πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ Seems like a good way to spend some quality time. I just have to see if I have enough coverage in the office for Thursday and Friday of next week. πŸ—“ And how many targets 🎯 I’ll need to cut – – that could be a problem being fully off the cellphone network the second half of next week – – all depends what the work load looks like for next week.

Well, I got to shower 🚿 and get on the bike and start heading into the office. 🏒 Enjoy your day and the relatively cool weather before that heat dome builds in next week. I know my mind is fully on the Potholers and kayaking. πŸ›Ά I keep looking at the kayak and thinking I really should get it on the water sooner then later. And do some fishing 🎣 too for a good dinner.
