Yesterday, out walking at Five Rivers it was an outstandling beautiful afternoon with hoards of people throughout the area. Too many to really enjoy it in my perspective, especially in the era of social-distancing.
Two men were arrested Monday on charges that they helped establish a secret police station in New York City on behalf of the Chinese government, and about three dozen officers with China's national police force were charged with using social media to harass dissidents inside the United States, authorities said Monday.
The cases are part of a series of Justice Department prosecutions in recent years aimed at disrupting Chinese government efforts to locate in America pro-democracy activists and others who are openly critical of Beijing's policies and to suppress their speech.

Friday looks so nice but avoid looking at the weekend π·
I know things will only get better as spring progresses but so awakens the black flies. It’s okay I’m sure I can find things to do this weekend to keep busy. And the heat remains off and the windows at least downstairs open.

Good morning! Suddenly things have started to green up on this tax day. π±
I think the warm weather last week with the rain helped a lot. Winter and gray skies last forever until they stopped. I was surprised how even in the higher elevations of the county things have greened up a lot.
Clouds and 43 degrees in Delmar, NY. βοΈ There is a west breeze at 6 mph. π . The skies will clear tomorrow around 3 am.
Only 6.8 miles yesterday πΆ though it was a session day, kind of cloudy and damp yesterday. I did walk down to the library π and return my books then do my evening walk. Spent too much time studying my bike π² after thinking momentarily I ordered the wrong tool β for repairs but I’m fine. It’s good to learn more about bicycling and it will be a much more efficient way to get around town then walking πΆ.
I do need to get to the grocery store π¬ but alas I’m in the trap of having enough food π but running low and not wanting to fire up the truck to go shopping π after work. The bicycle will help with that once it’s up and running but it’s going to take time for me to get parts and make necessary repairs.
I’m excited thinking about all the places I can go π² when I have my bike running again. I figure virtually any place with 25 miles away from home is fair game with a bicycle, though big hills ain’t fun. But even Piseco Powley Road could be great on a bicycle though that hill past the Potholers would be tough.
My taxes have been done for weeks now, π΅ though I haven’t yet gotten confirmation from the state for the paper form I’ve submitted. Paid $11 to the US Treasury and told the state to keep my refund and apply it to next year’s tax return. Guessing dividends a year in advance is a fools errand, though I’m inclined to think next year will be lower with corporate profits declining. π
