That’s how I increasingly feel about having to wash out plastic bottles for the recycling trash, which is an increasingly dubious thing. It’s just so much easier to toss them in a fire and burn them, especially nowadays with recycling to be mostly a feel-good scam. Maybe it’s a good thing with the amount of waste a suburbanite household generates, but I sure much rather just burn that crap that be participating in the solid waste racket.
This is true for 13.6kV or lower residential lines. But you will almost never see birds on the hot wires for 345kV due to corona effect, as seen by this photo. Birds are happy to be on grounded lightening attractors on the top of 345kV lines, also shown on this photo.
Another real nice spring day. Not real humid. It looks like the humidity is building for the second half of the weekend π¦οΈ and maybe some showers. Then a brief cool down as the Rex Block breaks down but then possibly hot by next weekend. Spring is basically done, the summer is upon us.
This weekend with work I think there is no realistic chance of heading out of town and then the following week is the Lupine festival where I will table for Save the Pine Bush. π¦ Plus I don’t have much hope of getting out of the following week due to work though I’m thinking maybe a long weekend the first or second week of June. Planning fewer trips this year due to high gas prices. β½

A nice spring morning walking down to the express bus π. Not as early as I do my morning walks on session days but with the earlier express bus I’ll have time to walk the Plaza before work.
Mostly sunny and 54 degrees in Delmar, NY. β Calm wind. The dew point is 41 degrees.
Nice day, wish I was working remotely π₯οΈ preferably along the shores of Lake Pleasant with my laptop. Those were the days during the pandemic, gas was cheap the lake breeze was nice. I know, black flies and all those folks dying. It could have been me as that song goes. Or maybe a better song would be, Those Were the Days.
At least my office is air conditioned β although no lake breeze. But the internet is a lot faster than the slow rural internet of the Spectulator Public Library that or watching the bandwidth meter on the hot spot. π± And keeping an eye on the battery π voltage when clouds would pass over the skies. That could trip the low voltage disconnect as eight hours of laptop use could load the batteries especially after a night of camping π.
Like usual the express bus π is running late but I’ve been doing laps around the parking π Ώ area waiting for the bus keeping the Bethlehem Police π¨ busy watching the parking lot as I walk. It’s good to support our police, keep them busy. Nice day to be sitting in an air conditioned car.
Compared to Tuesday yesterday was a lot calmer at work π’ although still quite busy to say the least. Got home at 7:15 pm, had a quick dinner of some overpriced hot dogs and did a walk down at the Elm Ave Park π.
