Weather Update – November 19, 2021

After last night’s rain, more sun today but cool late autumn feeling β˜€

I really didn’t need to wear a sweater to work yesterday but maybe it was good with the cold rain in the evening.

Sunny but cold tomorrow, I might hike out to Five Rivers Environmental Education Center. 🐦 Big Red gets his new tires on Sunday and then that’s done.

Most of next week looks pretty good although cool with the exception of Monday when Big Red will be inspected and will rain. If necessary I guess I can catch the bus.

Inflation is high. Here’s how it’s hurt past presidents : NPR

Economists may know (and even agree) that the current inflation is attributable to the pandemic and its aftermath: sluggish supply chains, reluctant workers, shortages and interrupted energy deliveries. We also know the government has mainlined trillions of dollars in buying power to consumers since the spring of 2020. Price hikes might be considered all but inevitable.

But one of the lessons from inflationary eras past is that voters are less interested in causal responsibility than in forcing a change. In other words, if you are in office now, you are holding the bag.

Good Morning – November 19, 2021

Good morning! Happy Beaver Moon πŸŒ• !

Did you see the eclipse 🌚 this morning? I woke up early this morning and ran outside a few times but no luck. Fortunately, Facebook is loaded with eclipse pictures so I don’t think I missed much. The next full moon is the cold moon, I’ll leave it at that.

Partly sunny and 38 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west breeze at 13 mph. πŸƒ. Temperatures will drop below freezing at around 9 pm. β˜ƒοΈ

Lately I’ve been going to bed πŸ› really early as I like waking early to read πŸ“– and learn on the YouTube. As much as I like watching off gridders and homesteaders on the YouTube, lately I’ve been watching a lot more about computer πŸ–₯ programming and new languages that I can use for practical purposes like interpretation of census data.

Last night πŸŒƒ was rainy so I took the local home 🚍 and went to bed after dinner and getting milk πŸ₯› at Stewart’s. All week I’ve been tired after work and find myself going to sleep early and waking at 5 am like I did on vacation.

Not a bad day for walking 🚢 down to the express. 🚏 The thing I’m not crazy about is the walk home from the express at rush hour, I find it’s hard for drivers to spot me in the crosswalk and street crossings at busy rush hour 🚘 🚚 so I’ve been using my phone as a flashlight πŸ”¦ which helps a bit with the drivers not primarily focused on the steak and πŸ₯” πŸ₯© the wife is cooking and what she is promising after dinner. πŸ›
