It is a widely understood concept that all wildlife is in the public trust, that you don’t own the wildlife even on your own land. The state owns all wildlife, they set limits on when and how much you can take. In British commonwealth counties like Canada they say all wildlife belongs to the Queen but in America, we say it’s owned by government.
It turns out that all human life also falls under the public trust doctrine. Human life belongs to the state, as only the state can own it and destroy it. Slavery is a right reserved to the government by the constitution. The government has the sole power to judge what chemicals you can ingest, whether or not to end your life or that of others, what kind of sexual acts and even abortions are lawful in the privacy of your own home or doctors office.
This morning will start out cool and rainy then a lot of sun and cool โ
I saw the warnings and the radar ๐ธ and decided to ignore the rain โ for my morning walk ๐ถ. Truth be told, I didn’t want to miss my walk and I still have to shower ๐ฟ so I figure it’s a pre clean.
The weekend looks quite nice but I don’t have any plans yet ๐คทโโ๏ธ as I’m leaning towards making plans for a long weekend in two weeks maybe one or two extra days. I need to do my time sheets and look at my time bank.
One thing I should do is think about washing my truck, sanding and getting some primer over the rust spots on my truck ๐. That would be the responsible thing to do.

I guess with the High School fully back open it really is generating a lot of traffic. I wonder how it will impact the buses or traffic heading downtown.
Clouds, some fog ๐ซ and drizzle ๐ฆand 64 degrees in Delmar, NY. Calm wind. The dew point is 63 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 2 am.
I don’t remember the high school being such a traffic generator ๐ซ but I guess it’s the first day of school and until the pandemic I didn’t do my morning walk ๐ถ. And until recently, when I started to work downtown ๐ข did I go for my morning walk at the early hour.
With the rain, โ you can see the fog ๐ซ steaming off the piles of shit at the dairy down the road ๐ฎ that they are composting. ๐ฉ Composting is a great way to reduce odors and reduce the amount of material you have to haul into the fields but it tends to lock up the nitrogen for slower release which isn’t always great when you need a good jolt for growing silage. ๐ฝ
I started doing the morning walk ๐ถ during the pandemic, mainly because there was no express bus ๐ to walk to and because I needed a morning walk to remain sane ๐คช while working at home. But I’m still doing it, and it probably makes up for not doing walks during lunch time as I don’t like having to leave my desk and wear the muzzle.
People keep talking about the flavor of the week for COVID, ๐ but I’m long time vaccinated and not that worried ๐ฏ about it. Seems like the vaccine is still very effective at keeping you from getting very sick if you are not elderly. I am no fan although of booster shots but I’ll wait for more evidence – it’s months until I would be eligible. I do want to try and get my flu shot tonight. Yeah, more needles, I feel like a heroin addict but the flu kind of sucks. ๐คง
Didn’t get much severe weather โ here last night but I ended up thumbing through a book ๐ I got from the library on responsive web development. A few minutes the wind hollered and a few claps of thunder โก and some rain. I didn’t read it page by page just because I felt it was a topic I was quite familiar with. I also watched some videos on my phone about the R programming language.
I saw the library had several books on R and data science too. ๐ I just wish they had more on GIS but I don’t know how much more I can learn on that from reading. I think learning more data science ๐ฅ it will help me create new diagrams and its such an important skill to master in the era of big data and social media.
I got the three pair of jeans ๐ that I ordered earlier in the week so I should be set for clothes to wear to work on casual days in the office for a while. Most of my jeans had gotten really worn out and stained during the pandemic when I didn’t need good clothes for work. I haven’t done dry cleaning for work either in ovee a year and a half because I worn my suit so little too ๐จโโ๏ธ but that’s changing.
I took care of updating the information on EZ Pass ๐ณ but I haven’t gotten around to making the appointment for the alignment and other necessary repairs to the suspension on the truck buy I should do that next week. ๐ป It needs to get done and I need to pass the buck and get a new set of 35s ordered – my truck isn’t that old.
