Good Morning – September 3, 2021
Good morning! Happy Labor Day Weekend Begins π¨βπ !
Chomping down on my breakfast π₯ getting ready to shower πΏ and head north. π»
Partly clear and 54 degrees in Delmar, NY. π There is a northwest breeze at 6 mph. π. The dew point is 52 degrees.
Early start this morning, woke at 5:15 am and set off the smoke detector βοΈ making breakfast and knocked the shower πΏ curtain rod loose. β° Sorry neighbors, I was kind of struggling at this early hour.
The plan for today is to head to Spectulator and set up camp before work βΊ and then work either down by Lake Pleasant or at the library. If I get too late of a start I might do camp at lunch time. π₯ͺ
I am feeling of very mixed emotions, with summer 2021 drawing to a close. π Back to work downtown π’ five days a week starting Tuesday. Traffic will certainly be back. πππππ I got to deal with the getting the truck aligned and new tires. I hate to spend the money. π΅
What’s Left of the Original NY 169 / Little Falls Bridge
Much to my surprise, the abutments for the original NY 169 / Little Falls Bridge over Finks Basin were just cut stone.
North from Bridge
This is the Moose River Bridge, looking from the swimming area below the bridge. I thought about paddling East up the River, but it was too cold, and it looked like I would have to get wet from carrying it over places that where too shallow.
Taken on Friday September 3, 2010 at Moose River Plains.
