Good evening! Made it out to the Finger Lakes.

Overcast and 72 degrees at the Finger Lakes National Forest. ☁️ There is a south breeze at 10 mph. 🍃. The dew point is 60 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 11 am.

Tent camping tonight ⛺ as none of the campsites I have wanted were available. It was kind of a hazy, gray day, I went to both Montezuma and the Audabon Center but all the birds 🐦 I saw were pretty common as it was mid day. Wasn’t a bad day, and I’m on vacation but not a real great day either.

The best thing I did today was just distracted myself, 🤹🏻‍♂️ and ignored my anxiety. My fears are not grounded in reality, they are actually largely irrational. Things are pretty good when I’m not stuck in that really bad mind loop ➿ cycle I’ve been stuck in lately. Continuing to work with Lynne on the Pine Bush problem, we are getting closer on crafting the right message.

I might camp here the rest of the week ⛺ or I might move somewhere else. I doubt I’ll go all the way to the Allegheny National Forest. Could I go down to Wellsboro for a few nights? Maybe but I am no fan of camp ground camping even when it’s primative. I like my privacy 🔏.

I took a handful of pictures today 📸 but I’ve decided to no longer take pictures of places I’ve been before unless I see something new or unique, or have a better way to capture things. My blog has gotten so bloated lately.

Weather Update – July 24, 2021

The plan for today is to head out to the Finger Lakes and Montezuma then down to the National Forest. 🐦 I am feeling a lot better today, realizing that my anxiety is just that. Everything in the world is not out to get me.

I am also thinking about visiting the Remsen Woods Nature Preserve, mainly so I can avoid the traffic 🚘 in Skaneateles and to go somewhere new for a change. I also need to get some food 🍲 for tomorrow as I tomorrow will be quite rainy and it best to stay close to camp ⛺. I like having a quiet day after I first set up camp. Probably stop at Walmart in Auburn.

Good Morning – July 24, 2021

Good morning! I guess there was a lot of pressure on that propane tank, got a face full of propane and iced over fingers connecting up the camp stove 💨

I mean it makes sense, I did the tank filled earlier in the week 🏮 and it’s fairly warm, so the propane pressure is high. That said with the light breeze

That said, it’s a pretty nice morning. It‘s sunny and 53 degrees at the Cherry Ridge Camping Area. ☀ Light breeze.

This morning I called Mom and she gave me solid advice on not to focus on anything that triggers my anxiety. Just take it day by day, 😁 breathe and keep busy. There are risks everywhere but don’t focus on them. Your truck is going to be fine, it’s a lot newer and better shape then a lot of people. And remember it’s vacation time, 🏖 your supposed to be enjoying yourself.
