Another day, another advertisement from Time Warner Cable. I’m quite happy with my smartphone 📱 I can’t imagine why I would want internet at home.

Walking the ridge line again at Partridge Run over the Switz Kill Valley. 🚶

I could have used my skis 🎿 there is a lot more snow up here than I originally expected. But my muck boots are good and dry and I can walk anywhere with the boots here and there is very little ice to my surprise.

I actually really like walking along the ridge and looking down at the rural landscape below. The farm fields and hills are always real pretty in the winter.

This is intentional. It’s not because I’m a narcissist but it’s because I write about the world as I see it from my vantage point. It would be dishonest to write the blog from any body’s other point or nuetral because nobody is fully objective myself included.

When I was out at Five Rivers Environmental Education Center earlier today I was noticing how truly much noise pollution there was. There was the usual bird chirping, the squirrels rustling in the woods but also…

  • Sound of the train whistle at Game Farm Road 🚂
  • The rumble of the passing train 🚉
  • Car tire rumble 🚙
  • The sirens of a police car 🚨
  • The growl of a distant car engine 🚘
  • The roar of an airplane overhead ✈

The noise never stops and it out competes nature in our fossil fuel world.
