Caution Steep Hill
September 17, 2019 Morning
Good morning! Happy Constitution Day on this Tuesday morning. 📃 It’s been said many times before, the constitution is just a paper document that you can use as bedding in your cow 🐮 barn if the public is not willing to enforce it. Mr. NOAA is sleeping in this morning so I’ll have to do my best without him. I think it’s about fifty degrees out with lots of sun. 🌞
Today we are looking for a high around 72 with lots of sunshine with high pressure in control. 😎 I hope you have your sunglasses, I know I won’t need the lights in my office today. About one degree below normal which is similar to what you would expect for Thursday. A week from now the high is only 69. Sunset 🌇 tonight is around 7:02 pm with dusk around seven thirty. By tomorrow it will be the last sunset after seven until mid March. Winters coming! ⛄
I decided to run to Price Chopper as it was the closest supermarket and buy some frozen vegetables and cheese and after shave. 🚙 They didn’t have the after shave I normally use and the frozen vegetables 🍲 that were supposedly on sale weren’t on sale. I wish I had just gone to Walmart or Shoprite. 🏪
The internet wasn’t working on my laptop on Monday but I think it was a temporary glitch. 📡 I thought some of the software I upgraded broke things but it looks like just suspending and waking up the computer 💻 seemed to get it working again. I think maybe the Bluetooth driver somehow confused the wifi in the laptop. The Realtek chip in the laptop has always been a bit problematic. A bit frustrating 😤 for sure as I use my laptop a Iot.
One good thing I discovered was that I found what was wrong with my display in my bedroom. 📟 I have a loose power wire going to the microprocessor and that’s causing a voltage ⚡ drop which causes the microprocessor to either freeze or send invalid data to the display. I should be able to fix that now with a bit of solder.
Tonight after work I’m heading over to John Wolcott’s house to hopefully get close to wrapping up his history project.🔎 I doubt I’ll have much time to do much more come October with my road trip and other things coming up that month. 🍁🍂
One month from today on October 17th the sun will be setting at 6:10 pm and the average high will be only 59 degrees. 🍂 Outside of the city the leaves will be largely past peek and it be closer to November than September. That said, November is my favorite month of the year. I love 😍 those frosty cold November mornings when things are crystal clear. Southern zone deer season opens in sixty days.
