Good evening! Mostly clear 🌃 and 54 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west breeze at 9 mph. 🍃. A bit of a chilly evening but not that bad for June. My Monday headache returned this evening, I think I might just be allergic to Mondays.

Chilly night for sure but not record breaking cold. In 2018, we had cloudy skies. It got down to 48 degrees. The record low of 36 occurred back in 1947.

It seems like I’m not detecting the signal on the external temperature sensor I hooked up the other day. 😕 I’ll figure it out eventually. Probably just a loose wire or bad connection.

I checked the truck cap and all is doing well with the battery. 🔋 While it was particularly bright and sunny today, everything seems well charged and no odors from hydrogen. I’ll keep an eye on it though. Looking forward to trying it out at camp in a few weeks.

It was a third of June, a most beautiful day. Listening to the Ode to Billie Joe as I take the local bus 🚍 to work wearing my freshly dry cleaned jacket. It says it’s around 61 degrees in bedroom this morning and warning up quickly. I think we are looking at 66 degrees in city and breezy later. Certainly wouldn’t be a nice day for swimming 🏊 but I know I’ll be walking 🚶 outside to the Capitol. Been so cold this year, I haven’t seen any daisies out — they often are out around now.🌼

I was thinking almost about wearing my outer coat to work as this evening 🌃 it might be a a bit cold. Maybe if I decide to sit out back after work, I’ll have to wear my blaze orange hoodie. The calendar says it June but it’s hard to believe that this morning but it’s hard to believe. The heat and muggy weather will arrive eventually. They promise that at Wikipedia article for Albany, but that’s fine, I’m all for weekends at the Potholers.🏊 By then I should have my replacement hammock, and after spending a day cooling off in the potholers, I’ll be able to lay back in the hammock with a cold beer. I’ll have to see if I can use the non-ripped part of the hammock for some other project — I feel like I could use the nylon scraps for something besides tossing in the fire.🔥

For the third of June, the average high is 75 degrees. Sunset is around 8:28 pm with dusk at 9:02 pm. Hard to complain about that. 🌇 It has me thinking about that day on Independence Day Weekend when I hiked back to Ice House Pond at Moose River Plains after dark and it still wasn’t dark enough to require a flashlight 🔦 at 9:30 pm at a clear, brilliant summers night. 🌃 I really like this time of year especially when it’s nice out. Looking for taking a long Independence Weekend Trip to Moose River Plains. I probably should get a camping permit, although maybe what I’ll do is drive to Mason Lake on Wednesday night, then camp at the Plains Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night — so no need for a permit.🏕 I wish you could just apply online.

It seems like the doubled set of accessory batteries 🔋 is working well. I look forward to testing the set up at camp ⛺. Probably not next week but maybe the week later. 🔌 Speaking of electricity, I plan to finish the code for the outside temperature probe for my sign this week and look forward for the barometric pressure sensors to arrive and writing the storm warning code. If that works well, I might build a second portable unit, that I could have while camping to get warning when the pressure is dropping and a storm is approaching. I think that could be a handy tool, especially when I’m planning to be places with no cell reception or radar.  An LED could blink red when the pressure is quickly dropping, as a thunderstorm approaches.
