Heading out to the back yard, I just saw a shooting star. Fireflies flicker in the trees and the crickets are singing in the background. Finally bought boots to replace the pair I am wearing that are basically falling off my feet haven’t offered any water protection for some time. They are quite worn out but it made no sense to replace them before going camping.
Worked on some improved weather code for my blog. Just mostly minor changes but I wanted to use the NOAA hourly forecast data to develop some new products. Returned my library books. I need to get some new ones to read in the park but with oppressive conditions expected, I may end up going to the library to enjoy the artificial cool of air conditioning at the library.
An ad for the Anker SoundCloud XL waterproof stereo Bluetooth speaker caught my eye. While I like my Jam Plus speaker I currently use camping and at home, I wish it was a bit louder with more bass and better battery life. Waterproof would be nice too in case it rains and gets left on the table. Been thinking about upgrading before vacation. But alas money is limited so I have to make choices. I’ll have to think about it in the coming weeks.
