With the rain and breeze, we have a wind chill value around 35. Kind of a nasty morning to misplace one’s umbrella like I did. With the breeze, the umbrella really ain’t that useful.

After about a week of above weather, we are now about 1 degrees below normal. The record high of 75 degrees was set back in 1946.

I am old enough to remember when Linux kernel 2.0 was experimental on the PowerPC and 1.8 was the stable version. I don’t know what version of the kernel is modern now, as it’s been a long time since I’ve compiled my own kernel.

Today in 1964, Jack Ruby the questionable bar tender and general character was found guilty of murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Oswald killed President Kennedy back in November 1963. Or so does the public record reflect. Some blame Fidel Castro.
