Good evening! Partly cloudy and 74 degrees in Dormansville. Earlier there was a breeze, but now the only breeze is the fan in my truck cap. The dew point is 71 degrees. Definately a warm and sticky night. Bugs are out and bitting too, so I’m holed up in my truck cap, enjoying the cool breeze of the fan at my parents house. The skies will clear Tuesday around 9 am.
As you can see, I had a lot of fun at the Gas Up Antique Machine Festival in Gallupville. Definately a fun event, I had a lot of fun going with my grandfather 25 years ago, and I had a lot of fun going again this year. The ice cream made by the old blackstone hot bulb engine was pretty neat, as was all the exhibits. Most of them were the same from years past but it’s always a treat to see the raw power of the farm and heavy equipment of an earlier era.
I got Dad’s weather station up and running on Fathers Day. I got it for his birthday, but with his health issues, we weren’t able to get it mounted and up and running until today. But it’s kind of neat to have detailed weather data for their house and be able to keep an eye for severe weather.
Ordered the Coleman Cooking Oven that I read about online.Β Hopefully it will be lightweight but work well on top of my camp stove for making things like biscuits and corn bread. That should make many good camping meals, or so I hope. As I expect to work late, I am not having it shipped to my house but somewhere else, so I don’t have to go looking for it at midnight or whenever I get home from work next week.
