Good evening. Currently cloudy and 13 degrees in Delmar. A bit chilly tonight on the evening walk but if you keep moving, it’s not that bad. No wind makes the temperature fairly bearable.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 10. South wind around 6 mph. Waxing crescent moon has already set. Tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 7:22 am with first light at 6:51 am, which is one minute and 26 seconds earlier then today.

33 degrees tomorrow with clouds. Typical for this time of year about nine degrees warmer than today .

Evening walk was nice but cool. Tomorrow is Thursday, I got to get up a bit early to drop my sport coat and overcoat to the dry cleaner. Boss also wants me in early as things need to get done first thing in the morning.

Based on the latest forecast I’m pretty sure I’m heading up to the Adirondacks for the weekend. Looks like it will be decently warm for the weekend although Martin Luther King Day will be cold. Probably do some hiking / snowshoeing while I’m up there and just enjoying the wilderness in the winter.

Good evening on this Make Your Dreams Come True Day. Currently a few clouds and 21 degrees in Albany. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 15. West wind 5 to 9 mph becoming south after midnight.

Tonight we have a waxing crescent moon, setting at 9:22 pm. A good thing to wish on, as it’s a pretty clear night tonight. Thursday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. South wind around 7 mph.

Everything is kind of a large salt bucket outside with road salt being dumped on the roads and sidewalk. Road salt isn’t just on the cars but it gets on your clothes and is tracked into buildings. The winters are really a disgusting thing here in New York.

Today was a busy day at work. But I kept things moving along and now I’m on the way home. Old Delaware Ave hasn’t changed much in years. January is still a pretty awful harsh month. But we are heading towards spring, and the harshness of winter in New York State can’t last forever.

Good morning! Today is Make Your Dreams Come True Day. It is currently mostly sunny and 22 degrees in Delmar. Today will have a chance of snow showers, mainly before 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 23. Breezy, with a northwest wind 17 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Sunset will be at 4:45 pm with twilight at 5:16 pm which is one minute and 9 seconds later then yesterday.

There are currently 300 days until Election Day when the political silly season comes to an end. I know a lot of people will be looking forward to Election Day coming and going. Partisans had a lot of fun spinning the president’s speech.

This day in 1966, Robert C. Weaver becomes the first African American Cabinet member when he is appointed United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development by Lyndon Johnson. He would be proceeded by Nixon appointee George Romney in 1969. Robert J. Wood was an interim replacement for about a month between the two. Funny to think our first black president is wrapping up his final year in office, while it was only fifty years ago that we had our first black cabinet member.

I suspect that buying a lottery ticket will not get you closer to your dreams but saving money and developing a plan for a better tomorrow will. I’m a bit short on plans for the short term but I want to eventually get away from the big city.
