Already it's the second half of the month. 🍁 September is rapidly fading into October, with lots of color and cooler weather for the coming weeks and months. I'm so busy these days, but look forward to many adventures in changing seasons.

Why Everything from 1983 Looks Awful

Buildings -- even unique notable ones -- as they reach 40 years old are the highest risk of being demolished as materials get worn out and designs look dated. But given a few decades with appropriate updates, those buildings that survived, often become some of the most treasured buildings in a community.

This is not unlike most automobiles. Automobiles that make it 25 years old, with appropriate repairs, often gain in historic status and value.

It's actually something to ponder. Is it simple survivorship bias, or is it deferred maintenance, that once implemented can save what is otherwise viewed as used up and spent?
