Good evening! Rain and 61 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜” There is a southeast breeze at 6 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 41 degrees. The skies will clear Saturday around 4 am. Came back inside when it started to rain.

Where to start? ๐Ÿฐ I find myself in an internet rabbit hole first about Contact Tracing – which creeps me out because you know it will enable bad behavior on the government’s part and then electric motors. That article I shared earlier about fans and the odd way they are set up with 3-2-1 speeds with shaded pole motors. That said, I’m surprised that fan manufacturers haven’t adopted more efficient inverter driver three phase motors or even DC brushless motors but I guess that adds a lot of complexity over shaded pole motors for only a little less energy loss.

This evening I went for a walk at the Schiffendecker Farm Preserve ๐Ÿฆ behind Walmart and Lowes. I didn’t have high expectations for the gully preserve – it’s the lands behind the big box that the developers forfeited as they couldn’t back fill in a creek.

After that I went to Walmart which was a zoo ๐Ÿ…despite going there on the off hour. They didn’t have any of the supplies I needed besides contact solution – mostly things that I legitimately need like socks, empty spray bottle for the Martin’s Permethrin to apply to clothes for ticks, headphones to replace the ones that are falling apart, and a replacement propane hose for the leaky one. I’ll have to order online. Seems wasteful when in normal times this is the list of random things I would get at Wally World. ๐Ÿ“ƒ I did get some bulk foods ๐Ÿฒ but I’m done with shopping at Walmart now until the pandemic is over. My choice going forward is going to be Aldi for quick in and out or if I can’t get across the river or want beer, then Hannaford or Price Chopper. ๐Ÿป That said, I only drink beer when I camp these days. I so hate shopping these days with the bandana on my face as it blocks my view.

Tonight will have showers. ๐ŸŒง Low of 53 degrees at 2am. Six degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around June 2nd. Maximum dew point of 51 at 6am. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ South wind 6 to 8 mph. Windows are open all night tonight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. In 2019, we had light rain in the evening, which became partly cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 43 degrees. The record low of 31 occurred back in 1977.

Tonight will have a Last Quarter ๐ŸŒ— Moon with 45% illuminated. The darkest hour is at 12:53 am, followed by dawn at 5:02 am, and sun starting to rise at 5:35 am in the east-northeast (63ยฐ) and last for 3 minutes and 14 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 3 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:15 am with sun in the east-northeast (70ยฐ). Tonight will have 9 hours and 22 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 4 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have a chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒฆ, with a high of 78 degrees at 4pm. Nine degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around June 14th. Going to a nice warm day tomorrow with a touch of humidity. Maximum dew point of 62 at 4pm. South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. A year ago, we had light drizzle in the morning, which became light rain by afternoon. The high last year was 65 degrees. The record high of 93 was set in 1900.

No camping this weekend. โ›บ I’m inclined to stay home for Memorial Day Weekend as the weather and the bugs usually suck for that weekend ๐Ÿœ and it’s likely to be crowded in the back country with the parks closed but I’ll watch the forecast and decide. If I do head out of town that weekend, I’ll probably take next Friday off. I probably should decide tomorrow but I’ll watch the forecast and I can probably still get it off if I ask Monday. I’m more inclined to take the following Friday off and celebrate my Memorial Day Weekend a week late. But all depends on forecast and the timing of my office ๐Ÿข reopening downtown and my work schedule. June may be a busy month for me.

In four weeks on June 11 the sun will be setting in the west-northwest (303ยฐ) at 8:33 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 23 minutes and 10 seconds later then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had rain and temperatures between 73 and 58 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 77 and 55 degrees. The record high of 94 degrees was set back in 1947.

Looking ahead, Fathers Day ๐Ÿ‘จ is a month away.

Nice Way To Spend An Evening

May 13, 2020 11 PM Update

Good evening! Clear and 46 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west-northwest breeze at 7 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Temperatures will drop below freezing at tomorrow around 3 am. โ˜ƒ๏ธ Not a half bad night.

Today was busier than I expected. ๐Ÿ’ผ Beautiful day only a little bit cool. Hiked Bennett Hill this evening, mom brought over pulled pork ๐Ÿ– which was nice plus a pair of binoculars that they weren’t using. Uploaded some new content for the blog which I’ll be featuring in the coming weeks. I wanted to get to the store today particularly for the spray bottle ๐Ÿถ for spraying my clothes for ticks but that didn’t happen. I really need to get a list ๐Ÿ“ƒ together and run to Walmart midday when there ain’t the crowds. I hate how the banada limits my vision. Went for my evening walk ๐Ÿšถ and made my spoken public comment to the Guilderland Planning Board on the Pine Bush development.

Tonight will be widespread frost, mainly after 4am. I probably should close the window of the I have open but I like fresh air. Otherwise, clear ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 31 degrees at 5am. 15 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around March 31st. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight. In 2019, we had light rain in the evening, which became light drizzle by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 40 degrees. The record low of 30 occurred back in 1996.

Tonight will have a Last Quarter ๐ŸŒ— Moon with 54% illuminated. The darkest hour is at 12:53 am, followed by dawn at 5:04 am, and sun starting to rise at 5:36 am in the east-northeast (64ยฐ) and last for 3 minutes and 14 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 4 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:16 am with sun in the east-northeast (70ยฐ). Tonight will have 9 hours and 24 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 7 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have areas of frost before 7am. Otherwise, mostly sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 66 degrees at 4pm. Three degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 5th. South wind 3 to 8 mph. Should be another nice day until the clouds push in. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning, which became light rain by afternoon. The high last year was 48 degrees. The record high of 93 was set in 1900.

I think it wasn’t a bad decision to start adding a little bit more money biweekly into the market ๐Ÿ’ฐ based on the fed chairs remarks and the thing that I think stocks will be relatively cheap for the foreseeable future. There is just so little interest these days in certificate of deposits.

I’m starting to think we will be this in the long haul, โณbut maybe Upstate a few more things will resume come June. It’s risky to be to optimistic and thinking a vaccine is just around the corner is fool hardy. The idea of people packing into a Costco or luxury apartments anytime soon seems fool hardy. But you make due with the best you can quite honestly. There are always swimming holes to explore come summer. I’m a lot better off than many but I do miss my office, my colleagues and even the commutes. ๐Ÿš So much of the ordinary life is gone so quickly.

In four weeks on June 10 the sun will be setting in the west-northwest (303ยฐ) at 8:32 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 23 minutes and 41 seconds later then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had rain and temperatures between 81 and 53 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 77 and 55 degrees. The record high of 96 degrees was set back in 2008.

I am pretty sure this will be a stay in town weekend. ๐Ÿก Memorial Day Weekend is a wait and see approach but if it looks outstanding I might take off the Friday before and make it a four day weekend. We’ll see.

Looking ahead, Latest Sunset ๐ŸŒ† is in 6 weeks and Inauguration Day 2021 ๐Ÿ‘ด๐Ÿป is in 36 weeks.

Hoar Frost on Tassell Hill

May 12, 2020 Night

Good evening! Partly cloudy and 42 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ›… There is a west-northwest breeze at 11 mph. ๐Ÿƒ with gusts up to 21 mph ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ’จ. The skies will clear around 10 pm.

Kind of a chilly evening ๐ŸŒƒ when I went for my evening walk ๐Ÿšถ but I’m not complaining, the muggers will be here before you know it. You will be dripping in sweat ๐Ÿ˜ฐ and while it will get nicer after dark it still will mean sticky conditions for sleeping. I’m hoping though come a few weeks my old office ๐Ÿข will be open and things will be cool and air conditioned once again.

I ordered the screen house tent ๐ŸŽช for camping. I’m not going to use it a lot because it’s a fair amount of work to take down and set back up but for long holiday weekends and summer vacations I plan to use it to escape the bugs and rain. I also ordered a propane lantern tree so I can use that when I don’t have a good place to hang the lantern like in the screen house. Took advantage of both the money ๐Ÿ’ต I got for my birthday ๐ŸŽ‚ from my parents and the gift card ๐Ÿ“ฆ I got from CDTA for participating in their online fact finding group.

A pretty quiet day at work, ๐Ÿ’ผ I ended up spending most of the day down at the library parking lot as it was quiet there and nice sunny weather for using the Wi-Fi. โ˜€ At one point there was five cars there with people getting on the web. Become popular. Honestly, I could get Wi-Fi at home but I like working down at the library or Five Rivers using my personal laptop and the charger running off the solar.

Another cold night on tap. Tonight will have areas of frost after 1am. Otherwise, partly cloudy ๐ŸŒฅ, with a low of 33 degrees at 4am. 13 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around April 5th. West wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. In 2019, we had light rain in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 42 degrees. The record low of 30 occurred back in 2005.

Tonight will have a Last Quarter ๐ŸŒ— Moon with 65% illuminated. The Flower ๐ŸŒท Moon is on Wednesday, May 27. The darkest hour is at 12:53 am, followed by dawn at 5:05 am, and sun starting to rise at 5:37 am in the east-northeast (64ยฐ) and last for 3 minutes and 13 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 6 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:17 am with sun in the east-northeast (71ยฐ). Tonight will have 9 hours and 26 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 8 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will be sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 57 degrees at 3pm. 12 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around April 13th. Northwest wind 8 to 17 mph. A year ago, we had light rain. The high last year was 54 degrees. The record high of 86 was set in 2004. There was a dusting of snow in 1953.โ„

Spring will arrive

May 10, 2020 Night

Good evening! Cloudy and 47 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜ There is a northeast breeze at 5 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Temperatures will drop below freezing at Wednesday around 4 am. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Kind of a quiet day, stayed home did some map work ๐ŸŒŽ and then went for a walk this evening in the Pine Bush. I saw a lot of wildlife including a buck, doe, fawn, goose, red bellied woodpecker, cat bird and a goose. I was surprised to see a goose there I thought they preferred to be by water. Walked a while after dark then came home.

Kind of a cold and gray day but it was nice to get away for a bit and hike somewhere alone ๐Ÿ‘ค were there was a ton of wildlife. Pine Bush off hour can be a great place to explore except for the highway noise. ๐Ÿ

Tonight will have a chance of showers, mainly after 4am. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 41 degrees at 4am. Five degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around April 27th. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 47 degrees. The record low of 29 occurred back in 2010.

Sunrise is one minute and 9 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:19 am with sun in the east-northeast (71ยฐ). Tonight will have 9 hours and 30 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 12 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Some of the storms could produce small hail and gusty winds. Yucky ducky in a trucky. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒฆ, with a high of 57 degrees at 1pm. 11 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around April 13th. South wind around 7 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. A year ago, we had cloudy skies in the morning, which became light rain by afternoon. It became somewhat humid as the day progressed. The high last year was 65 degrees. The record high of 90 was set in 1911. 0.5 inches of snow fell back in 1907.โ„

Kind of a bummer that the weather doesn’t look really good for tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜” but the forecast looks good for mid week and the weekend might turn out quite nice. But still few signs of things greening up in Schoharie County, they actually got snow there over the weekend although it’s mostly gone at this point.

Recently Logged Woods

May 9, 2020 Night

Good evening! Cloudy and cold 37 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ„ Breezy, ๏ธ21 mph breeze from the west ๐ŸŒฌ with gusts up to 31 mph ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ’จ. The current wind chill is 26. That wind is really cutting when you go outside.

Mostly stayed home except for my evening walk. ๐Ÿก Did some cleaning, some reading ๐Ÿ“–, too much time on Facebook and researching binoculars. Birding ๐Ÿฆ has become a hobby of mine not just on Facebook.

I’ve spent too much money on guns over the years, I really need to get some quality glass so I can see the woods better. Good glass ain’t cheap. At least you don’t have to wait for a background check to buy binoculars, yet. ๐Ÿ”ซ Of course this comes at the time I also want to buy the screen house for camping. ๐ŸŽช Maybe I can do both, I’d have to give it some thought with the stimulus check coming although I really should invest most of that so I have it for the future. ๐Ÿ’ต Plus if I adopt my alternative Adirondack vacation this summer I’ll save a lot of money and hopefully I’ll have a chance to make some good overtime at work come the fall.

Tonight will have isolated snow showers before 10pm. Reminds me of that Funny Bin Outing Isolation group on Facebook where people dress ๐Ÿ‘— up during the quartine to take out their trash to the street or burn barrel as it’s the only time they’re getting out. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 33 degrees at 4am. 12 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around April 5th. Cold night. Breezy, with a west wind 13 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. No heat but the windows are closed and it’s chilly enough in my bedroom I’m wearing long sleeve. That wind really makes it chilly but at least their was good sun today. Chance of precipitation is 20%. In 2019, we had cloudy skies. It got down to 52 degrees. The record low of 28 occurred back in 1958.

Tonight will have a Waining Gibbous ๐ŸŒ– Moon with 90% illuminated. The moon will rise at 10:54 pm. The darkest hour is at 12:53 am, followed by dawn at 5:08 am, and sun starting to rise at 5:40 am in the east-northeast (65ยฐ) and last for 3 minutes and 12 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 10 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:20 am with sun in the east-northeast (72ยฐ). Tonight will have 9 hours and 32 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 15 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will be partly sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 57 degrees at 4pm. 11 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around April 13th. Breezy, with a west wind 14 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 69 degrees. The record high of 92 was set in 1970. 5 inches of snow fell back in 1945.โ„

I’m thinking about hiking at Thatcher Park tomorrow ๐Ÿšถ but I’m a bit worried about the crowds. I don’t know but I haven’t been out there in a while and it might be pretty with the valley greening up below. Spent too much time at Partridge Run lately so I need a change. I guess if it’s cloudy tomorrow I could just stay home again. ๐Ÿก

It looks like based on what the region’s plan for reopening ๐Ÿขthat probably in two weeks after Memorial Day Weekend I’ll be back to working downtown. ๐Ÿš Back to getting up early and taking the bus to work. I kind of got used to sleeping in. That said I much prefer to work in a proper office. But it might impact my plans to take a long weekend the week after Memorial Day Weekend. Who knows things could change, but I tend to think slowly but surely things will be much closer to normal after June 1st. ๐Ÿ˜Š Maybe by Independence Day I can get a hair cut ๐Ÿ’ˆ but who knows – and I fear I might have to find a new barber if my old one decides the pandemic means tossing in the towel for good. He has a GE Pension and he strikes me as frugal mostly being a barber for the social side of things. To keep the side burns or not? Might have to go if summer is hot.

In four weeks on June 6 the sun will be setting in the west-northwest (303ยฐ) at 8:30 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 25 minutes and 36 seconds later then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had mist and temperatures between 76 and 61 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 75 and 54 degrees. The record high of 94 degrees was set back in 1925.

Looking ahead, Average High is 70 ๐Ÿฎ is in 1 week, Memorial Day Weekend Starts ๐Ÿ•๏ธ is in 2 weeks, Last Day of Session ๐Ÿ› is in 6 weeks and Summer ๏ธโ›ฑ๏ธ is in 6 weeks.

Very Shallow and Marshy Here

May 8, 2020 Night

Good evening! Heavy rain and 40 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜” There is a northwest breeze at 10 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Temperatures will drop below freezing at around 3 am. โ˜ƒ๏ธ Just rain so far here but I expect it will be snow by morning. It will melt fairly quickly but I think it’s fair to expect you might see some snow on the grass locally and more out in the hill towns.

A pretty good day. The morning was really beautiful and I was feeling great. ๐Ÿ˜Š Worked outside for a while. As the day progressed it clouded up but was nice to end the day in the woods well except for finding poison ivy on my hand โœ‹ and realizing that I think I forgot to take my doxycycline by evening due to the aches returning. ๐Ÿ’Š

I really got to treat my clothes with permethrin which is cheap and not hard to do if you buy it concentrated and mix it and make sure to let things dry before wearing. I’ll have to do most of my jeans and shirts before hiking and camping. ๐Ÿ‘š ๐Ÿ‘– Lasts like six washes or a month or so. Safety of permethrin is pretty good as long as it’s use is for clothing or controlled in an agricultural setting. ๐Ÿ’€I was studying the material safety sheets. Do keep it away from waterways for sure especially in agricultural quantities, which is why its a restricted pesticides for farm field applications but not for fly control on cows. ๐Ÿฎ

Tonight will rain before 11pm, then rain and snow likely between 11pm and 1am, then a chance of snow after 1am. ๐ŸŒง Low of 31 degrees at 5am. 14 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around March 31st. Chilly night ahead. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. In 2019, we had partly cloudy skies. It got down to 40 degrees. The record low of 27 occurred back in 1956.

Tonight will have a Waining Gibbous ๐ŸŒ– Moon with 96% illuminated. At 10 PM, the moon was in the east-southeast (120ยฐ) at an altitude of 2ยฐ from the horizon, some 231,768 miles away from where you are looking up from the earth. ๐Ÿš€ At the state speed limit of 55 mph, you’ll make it there by October 31st. Buckle up for safety! ๐Ÿ’บ The Flower ๐ŸŒท Moon is on Saturday, May 23. The darkest hour is at 12:53 am, followed by dawn at 5:10 am, and sun starting to rise at 5:41 am in the east-northeast (66ยฐ) and last for 3 minutes and 11 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 12 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:21 am with sun in the east-northeast (72ยฐ). Tonight will have 9 hours and 35 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 15 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have a slight chance of snow showers before 9am, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers between 9am and noon, then scattered rain showers after noon. Partly sunny ๐ŸŒง, with a high of 44 degrees at 3pm. 23 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around March 16th. Windy, with a west wind 21 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 46 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies. The high last year was 66 degrees. The record high of 93 was set in 1979. 1.6 inches of snow fell back in 1977.โ„

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is May 9th so with the wind it’s going to be cold. โ„ My heat is off but my windows are closed again. Memorial Day Weekend is just around the corner. I saw on Facebook that the town has been actively working on preparing the roads at Moose River Plains for opening in a few weeks.

I am still leaning towards the Coleman Screen house for camping ๐ŸŽช but they have two models I should make a decision this weekend or by Monday if I want it for Memorial Day Weekend even though I probably won’t camp that weekend due to the crowds but maybe take a long weekend the following week. The Coleman ones have a good review and it’s a well known brand. They have a conventional model and a newer quick pop up one which I have to study for durability and ease of putting up alone and relative size. Can’t be too big as I camp often in fairly small campsites. I like how the Coleman ones also lack floors so I won’t have to worry about spilled food, mud or beer. Make a mess, just shovel it out. Like a barnyard. ๐Ÿฝ Additionally, It will be nice to have a shelter from the bugs in the day time.

Also been looking at getting a good pair of binoculars. ๐Ÿ‘“Between working out of my truck watching nature through the windshield plus spending a lot more time in the woods during the pandemic I’ve come to realize how much I like bird ๐Ÿฆ watching. Plus I’ve joined a bunch of birder groups on Facebook and I’m getting a lot better at identifying birds just by thumbing through the pictures.

In four weeks on June 5 the sun will be setting in the west-northwest (302ยฐ) at 8:29 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 26 minutes and 2 seconds later then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had rain and temperatures between 83 and 55 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 75 and 53 degrees. The record high of 97 degrees was set back in 1925.

Looking ahead, 8:30 PM Sunset ๏ธโ›ฑ๏ธ is in 4 weeks.

Spring will arrive

May 7, 2020 Night

Good evening! Rain showers and 48 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜” There is a west breeze at 8 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Temperatures will drop below freezing at Saturday around 2 am and it will snow for a while. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Today was a modestly busy day at work ๐Ÿ’ผ, I also worked down at the library parking lot for a bit. Got busy and didn’t have a chance really to research screen houses anymore. Hiked in the afternoon at Papscanee Nature Preserve and then got groceries at Aldi’s. I just like shopping ๐Ÿช there during the pandemic as it’s fast in and out. They don’t have everything, I might do an online order at Wal-Mart if I can come up with $35 in things that I need.

While I was at the library there was a big protest past town hall about the quarantine business restrictions. โœŠ It certainly was loud. ๐Ÿ“ข Lots of horn honking. I think it’s good that people’s voices are being heard, it can’t only be the suits that are making all the decisions without the public’s voice being heard. ๐Ÿ‘“ Doctors and scientists know a lot but they can’t be the only voice heard from.

Tonight will have a chance of showers, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy early, then becoming mostly clear ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 36 degrees at 6am. Nine degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around April 12th. West wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies. It got down to 44 degrees. The record low of 26 occurred back in 1968.

Tonight will have a Full ๐ŸŒ Moon with 99% illuminated. At 10 PM, the moon was in the southeast (128ยฐ) at an altitude of 13ยฐ from the horizon, some 229,566 miles away from where you are looking up from the earth. ๐Ÿš€ At the state speed limit of 55 mph, you’ll make it there by October 28th. Buckle up for safety! ๐Ÿ’บ The Flower ๐ŸŒท Moon is on Friday, May 22.
