It's the second half of November as the label job I ran today reminds me. 🏷️ The landscape is cold and barren, it's dark out for a good portion of day, and riding home in the dark isn't much fun. But you make the best of it, and I figure the extra sleep and time to learn isn't a bad thing. πŸ›Œ Next adventure after Thanksgiving! πŸ¦ƒ Hopefully the fire risk is down by then as I want to have a big bonfire in wilderness πŸ”₯ after a good day riding trail or hiking. 🚢

Pine Lake

 Pine Lake

Pine Lake in the Independence River Wild Forest in the Western Adirondacks is located 1.5 miles south west of the Big Otter Lake Parking Area, which is 3.5 miles east of the wild forest boundary on Partridgeville Road. There is a lean-to and campsite located on this remote Adirondack lake.

Chub And Trout Lake

 Chub And Trout Lake

Chub Pond and Trout Lake in principle should be relatively easy to access, they as they are just a little ways from the put in used to access Good Luck Lake. Unfortunately, the West Branch of the Sacanadaga River has numerous strainers and down trees, and streams that flow out out of both Chub Pond and Trout Lake are narrow, shallow, and often impassable in times of low water. They also are very marshy along the shoreline, which can make it challenging to portage around the shallow water.
