OTD NEGOTIATION HACK (Out the Door Price is KILLER) Kevin Hunter The Homework Guy

My dad is skeptical that dealers will give me out-the-door pricing on cars without stepping foot in dealerships. I don't know, but this video had some good suggestions on how to be clear and conscise on what you need and expect and it's part of the hours and hours of videos (and two library books) I've been reading on the automobile industry. I want to be both an informed consumer and not get hosed in the process, and end up with a truck I love that is reliable, takes me on many great adventures camping and the back country, and serves me well through my early retirement/start of the homestead.

2026 Ford F250 XL 6.8 Gasser With The Off Road Package Review

This is kind of the SuperDuty truck I'm looking at... I think I do want the skid plates and FX4 off road package, still undecided about regular cab long bed vs extended cab short-bed, if I'm okay with the fleet white or if I want to pay for a different paint/appearance package. Depends on what is avaliable I guess, still have a lot more research to do.

Brandon Rhyder – Haggard

I need to get out of the city, drive a country mile
Get back to my roots, before two worlds collide
I want sausage biscuit gravy, sweet tea from a jug
So jump into my pickup truck, and I’ll fire it up

We burn our trash out in the backyard in a barrel
We feed our dogs and cats our table scraps
We get our eggs straight from the hen house, and our water from a well
Dig our onions and our taters from the ground
Yippee yi yo, yippee yi yay, I’m feelin' kind of haggard today

I want to get out on the river, catch a mess of fish
Throw a big ol’ party, that you don’t want to miss
We’ll have washer pits and horseshoes, shine and chocolate pie
'Cause when I’m on the swing with her it makes me almost high

Reminds me of traveling in Western Pennsylvnia, smelling the cow shit, the burnt plastic in the burning barrels, the oil wells, the kerosene and coal smoke from the rural homes. Beautiful, wild country, even if it's been blasted away from the explosions of powder and the coal mining.
