August 22, 2021. Clearing by evening as the bands of the hurricane break down and get pushed out to sea.
This morning actually had some breaks of sun, before the first bands of the Tropical Storm pushed north and started to bring some rain.
Not much rain from it locally, but lots of gray skies.
Kind of a real treat up here in the wilderness on a, hot summer day. Not sure I would want to eat at home – it’s kind of smelly but so delicious. The beer and clam juice just gets into the sausage and sweet corn is so good.
I do end up with a lot of smelly, organic garbage but at camp I have a hot fire and the clam shells and corn cobs burn up just fine. It’s kind of a mess but I keep camp clean and so far I haven’t had much of a problem with bears or wildlife. And I get a bit buzzed but I’m not planning on going anywhere I need to drive.
