Corridor H is a new divided highway that runs along the northern tier of West Virginia from Davis, WV to Moorefield, WV. Eventually it may be upgraded to the superhighway, but for now it's a two lane divided highway with some at-grade intersections. While much of the highway passes coal mining areas, it also has some very scenic sections.
A beautiful morning on Saturday camping at the Allegheny National Forest off of Forest Route 259 near Jakes Rocks.
Heading along Grout Pond Road, past the Grout Pond Campground out to Kelley Stand Road.
I follow MD Creekmore's prepper channel on the YouTube. I was just watching this video of him visiting a creek down the way from his homestead as I was curious what the land looks like in part of Tennessee.
Reminds me a lot of Appalachia, a lot like parts of Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Pretty country and I've heard they're a lot more laid back than New York. One of the girls I went to High School with and farms now in New York is thinking about moving there due to the better gun laws and lower taxes.Β I think I should also put it on my list of states to explore further.Β
Cruising along the Blue Ridge Parkway past the Irish Creek Overlook.
20 miles south of Brandywine in a very rural part of West Virigina is Sugar Grove. A traditional farming community, there isn't much here except for the NSA's now defunct Sugar Grove Listening Facility. Some nice farm country, traditional West Virginia buildings, a very small town.
Rolling farm land, open country north of Moorefield, WV.
