Always like this view of South Berne and lands over the Switz Kill Valley. 

Wasn't too bad but it was a bit difficult trying to ski back up to the ledge with the snow drifts and the slippery snow. 

It was real easy hiking down this road with the snowshoes on. Little did I know that the plowing would end, and me and the puppy would be going through 4 foot deep snow and sheets of ice.

After struggling through the deep snow for 45 minutes, I finally reached The Gulf, a 500 foot deep hollow. Deer apparently congregate along the edge of this hollow, as witnessed by the ample deer tracks in deep snow, and places where deer had slept in snow.
