Music
Louis Armstrong – What A Wonderful World.
In year when the children are scared of clowns, and we are all scared of those running for President, some calming music from the calm and placid year of 1968 in America. At least we have much fewer riots today then in 1968 and while people are angry about race and poverty -- at least our political leaders aren't being assassinated right and left.
Diamond Rio – One More Day – YouTube.
A decade and half has gone by since this song was on the top of the charts, but still it reminds me of my freshman year in college. How fast the days go by.
Ride, Ride, Ride By New Christy Minstrels On 1963 Columbia LP.
Let's all sing along with Barry McGuire ...
"A cowboys life is a lonely road
Your back gets bent and your legs get bowed
Riding herd from town to town
Make your bed on cold hard ground."
Jim Croce – Working At The Car Wash Blues.

WAMC had a Labor Day music special on earlier this week. I had never heard this Jim Croce song before, but apparently it was a fairly big hit during the spring of 1974.
Del Reeves – Looking At The World Through A Windshield.
This Youtube video is awesome on so many levels, including the historical footage of driving in the mid-1960s.
