Red Tailed Hawk
Lately I've been doing more evening bird watching hikes at the Elm Avenue Town Park after work. Spotted this nice red tail hawk on one of the fingers of the Phillipin Kill.

How many roads must a man walk down before they call him a man?
This weekend I walked 28 miles, which includes 16 miles today. 70 miles for the past seven days.
I haven’t done a true 20 miler since last summer so I should do one next. Need to just devote a day and plan a route. Maybe walk to Thacher Park and back from Delmar. Or maybe somewhere else.
Then I want to walk in late April from Kiwanis Park in Rotterdam to the Schoharie Crossing which is a 30 miles round trip. While not strenuous terrain it will be a 12 hour walk from 6 am to 6 pm which will include ample time for lunch and breaks. It will build practice for all day walking.
Come April I’m planning to practice walking around the neighborhood with a 30 lb on my back in preparation for the 50 miler.
Already I’ve cut nearly all processed foods and sugar out of my diet and working eat a diet with lots of low glycenmic index foods to maintain stable blood sugar levels. Planning to get a physical later in April before the 30 mile walk.
