February 21, 2018 Night
Good evening! Mostly cloudy and 46 degrees in Delmar, NY.β There is a northwest breeze at 13 mph. With that breeze and the short sleeve shirt, it felt kind of cool by evening. The one day of summer is over. 👚Now snow and rain tomorrow with much cooler temperatures. The skies will clear Sunday around 6 pm. I will have close my windows when I get home.
🌼Only 26 days remain until the first day of calendar spring!🌺

The Save the Pine Bush Dinner was quite successful. 🍛🐝🐞🌲Big crowd for the 40th Anniversary Dinner. It seems like the 30th Dinner was only a few weeks ago. Onwards to 50. There is a new parcel they are working to fight to save now. I got to do some research on this later on the week.
It was a fairly quiet day at work, just the usual. 📰📚Making it one more day to the weekend. Just the usual, the memos and the paperwork And reading so many news articles. 📰Albany is a way to make money and put it away for the future. 💰💸New York is quite the place but I don’t care because I plan to move out eventually. I used to care about the coming and goings of state government but not so much now. 🏤Save the Pine Bush is my main local cause now. 🌲Maybe at some point I’ll start being involved with state land management plans and more conservation work but with my job I have to be careful with policy advocacy on the state level. 👀I should look at joining a local sportsman club this summer. 🔫🎣 I need to do more shooting but I haven’t been in the back country lately where I can plink as long as I want. β
The bus was running quite late tonight because I caught it when the college baskball game just got out at the Knickerbocker Arena.🏀🏀🏀🚗🚙🚏🚌 Or as I like to call it, Jim Coyne’s old arena. I guess college basketball is a big thing.
This morning, I baked a big pan full of chicken paddies that I realized were uncooked when I got them home. 🍗Not a big deal, they were inexpensive and I just through a big batch of the now baked in the freezer. I can then microwave them when I get home. 🍴They actually came out quite good. Better than the precooked ones.
It was a nice day for a walk on the plaza, 🙉although the nice weather isn’t expected to last. Fresh air in my apartment was nice when I came home but I had to shut my windows as it’s going to be cold. 🔳
I got my first few bags of electronics 📬that I ordered for virtually nothing from China. 🌏I got some small EEPROM chips, a ton of metal film resistors, and more dupont wire.📲🔋🔬 So cheap directly from AliExpress as long as you are willing to wait a few weeks. Now I’m just waiting for the LEDs and a half dozen other components I ordered to arrive. None are more than $5 a piece, most are fraction of the price:idea:. Electronic components direct from China are so cheap. 📦
Looking ahead, there are 5 weeks until Average High is 50 when the sun will be setting at 7:17 pm with dusk at 7:45 pm (Daylight Savings Time). 🌷🌹🌺🌻Not quite spring but much closer than we are now. Well, I guess that is technically calendar spring. On that day in 2017, we had rain, drizzle, mist, cloudy skies and temperatures between 51 and 38 degrees. We hit a record high of 85 back in 1945.
