Making up for yesterday 🚲

I rode in yesterday and down to the express bus in the afternoon but I took the express home as it poured out shortly after I boarded the bus. And I was tired so I retired to bed shortly after dinner, reading a bit but mostly watching YouTube videos of rednecks burning shit and having fun as I was fried after work.

I was up at five o’clock this morning 🌅 or maybe a bit before then. I got a good night’s sleep but was awoken from a dream about getting in a wintery wreck with Big Red in the Stuyvesant Plaza and then not being catch the Bus Plus downtown because they cut service due to college being out. 🚍 Werid dream, I think it was part of my anger 💢 about the governor eliminating congestion pricing not that I have a dog 🐶 in the fight.

Started out riding to Five Rivers Environmental Education Center 🐸 this morning via Meads Road saying howdy to the bulls 🐮 along the way then out to Voorheesville and the Bender Mellon Farm Preserve 🍉 and the rail trail 🚂 which I will take to work in a few minutes. Beautiful day but buggy 🐜 at the Bender Mellon Farm Preserve. Need to head in soon to work.

This morning I decided to get up early and keep breakfast simple, ☕️ 🥣 just some shredded oatmeal mixed with bananas, cherries and mango. Then I finished off that with the remaining kefir and fresh blueberries in the fridge. Out of milk, going to need to get more tomorrow for my coffee. 🗑 Took out the garbage last night — it was starting to stink 👃. Part of it’s my fault, I’ve been tossing the milk containers and yogurt containers in there unwashed, figuring I’ll just end up burning them 🔥 but along the dead mice in the heat  🐭 they started to stink. Out it went, who knows the next time I’ll be up in the woods to get rid of that crap.  ♻️ I could be green and recycle, but fire is more fun, makes an excellent fire starter and plastic recycling’s a scam.

Landlord followed up yesterday about asking about the other apartment unit. 🏘️ I politely declined. I am continuing to looking at my housing options, but I really don’t want to stay in New York State or the Capital Region forever. Maybe I’m giving up, but I’m also learning what I can. Renting isn’t the worse thing ever, and my place despite the higher rent remains quite affordable and I continue to save and invest. 💰️ Money is a lot easier to move then a house. I just want to live some place where I can have lots of land, not all of the urban problems or all the high taxes and regulations of New York, spending all of time overlooking garbage heaps from my office. There is a lot of rural America out there that isn’t Albany.  🐮

It is a nice morning for sure,  😎 kind of wish I didn’t have to work all day, but rain is expected by the afternoon. Tomorrow going to the Gas Up Tractor Festival  🚜 with dad in Gallupville. The following weekend I might have to work, so I probaby shouldn’t be out of cell reception. 📲 The Mine Kill Pool doesn’t open until June 29th, the weekend before Independence Day Weekend. 🇺🇲 Maybe in two weekends I’ll go to the Potholers, and then that following week to Schoharie, who knows, it depends a lot of time.

Then comes July. 🇺🇸 I am thinking of heading up to Piseco-Powley Road maybe for a long weekend starting July 2nd  evening or maybe July 3rd through July 7th. 🏕 If I stay more then three nights I’ll need a camping permit, though before then I’ll need groceries. 🎫 I wouldn’t mind though an extended stay at the House Pond Campsite, I could reach out to the Forest Ranger 👮‍♂️ to get a permit. And maybe just drive down to Stratford or Dolgeville for ice 🧊 and to check my phone for messages ✉️ and cut whatever targets they need for work. 🎯 Or maybe spend the second half of the weekend camping up somewhere near Spectulator, as I could work from there. And then mid-July I plan to head out to the Finger Lakes. 🥾 You know the summer vacation thing, the traditional camp up in the National Forest, spend my days riding trail and paddling around Seneca Lake. 🚣 You know fun times. 🚵
